We could possible see both N'didi and Hamza tomorrow playing in a diamond with Hamza pushing further forward.

If we play 433 I can see Hamza starting the first few games, while N'didi gets back up to match fitness

I really hope not, that would restrict our attacking capabilities no end. It really isn't necessary.

I imagine Wilf will just be on the bench? He’s played 0 minutes of pre season.

Oh Crap.

I hadn't realised this wasnt on Sky or BT (I pay for both).

I would be totally willing to pay for a legit, unbuffering stream that doesn't have dodgy pop-ups all over it.

I'm not going to fiddle with my satellite dish.  lol

Ah well, crappy dodgy  stream here we come.

car boot sale,  a dish can be picked up for a £1

I presume so. Wes is ‘Club Captain’ but it’ll likely go to Kasper for match day.

I suppose now if he wants an outfield captain it’d have to be Vardy or Evans.

I created a topic a while back,but few were interested..others obstroculus.!!

I think this is one of the toughest starting games we could have been given. Wolves are in the group of clubs competing to break into the top 6 with us, are very dangerous, at our level, and have already played competative games this season.

Against most other teams in the PL you could almost predict (or hope for) what would happen but this match could genuinely go either way, especially as first match of the season.

Hope we don't miss Maguire too much at the back, play our game, and nick a win, but I wouldn't bet either way if I was a gambling man.

I personally think we'll start 433 as normal under Rodgers although he himself mentioned a diamond so it isn't impossible we'll see that once Praet settles.

I'll be surprised if the team vs Wolves isn't about 95% the team that played Atalanta though.

I agree with the first part but my.maths brain makes me think either 81% and 91% (2 or 1 changes) because 95% would require roughly half a player change and i dont think modern science has evolved enough for that yet.

Its a nice idea though.

I do as well. Except in the very rare circumstance you have the personnel to excel at it. We potentially do but it's all dependent on the centre mids drifting wide and the forwards interchanging positions. Spurs were a great example of how not to do it today. Kane barely had a touch and when he did it was out wide. They change system slightly and bring on a guy who will drift into space and suddenly they're a different team; Kane scores 2.

Not necessarily so. I think they both will start with Hamza pressing further up the pitch and NOT as 2 DMs. It has worked before and Hamza offers much more offensively than Ndidi but can also help defensively if we get overrun by Wolves.

Agreed. It's a system that you would have to be really comfortable in and not use it as an excuse just to fit all of your perceived best players in a team all at the same time. Old England used to underachieve regularly because they tried to cram their media best players in rather than pick a 'team'. Gerrard and Lampard or Scoles on the left wing for example. The first game requires against a good organised Wolves side a team that is comfortable with what it's trying to do. If that means not being able to shoehorn a player like Praet in just for the sake of it then so be it. His time will come,  he's just arrived.

Feels like it’s been forever arriving, but it’s finally here. The opening game. Magical, always. Good luck to the boys. Good luck to all of us, too. Another roller-coaster season undoubtedly awaits. Highs. Lows. Purple patches. Crap patches. Let’s all enjoy every moment of it, though. Who knows how many more any of us have left? 🤷‍♂️ Here’s to winning more than we lose and hopefully finishing higher than

last season. 😊
