Exactly.  The Club are hardly likely to keep RL informed of their business intentions are they:unsure:.    It is true that we will not know the truth until the Window is shut.

Hopefully this window will see a new shift towards future ones, ie peoples inability to not be taken in by someones stories. What's happening is all behind closed doors, we hear when it's close. Outside of that there is little some bloke at the club will be privy to...

Calm down.  Benkovic is now a Full Croatian International and Cags has played 20+ times for Turkey.  They will both be fine.

Plus morgan will not let us down if needed, we managed fine with 4 CB's last season so we should be fine this season.

Just one signing today - Praet. 

 

CB depth is a little bit of a concern, but expect we'll pick someone up in January when the hype around the Maguire windfall has died down and we won't be as heavily priced out of the market. Soyuncu to come good in the meantime and prove the doubters wrong, with Benkovic looking good as backup and in the cups.

 

We're in a pretty good position heading into the new season. People are panicking because some of our competitors like Everton are spending big on deadline day, but they do that every single year and every time they fail to live up to the expectation. After the Praet deal we'll have a net spend of just £9m - possibly even a profit after future outgoings - losing just one 'key' player and vastly improving our midfield and attack.

We're approaching the 'time for a loan' stage.... Don't often bother with medicals for loans either with less long term risk attached. Those deals can get done in half an hour.

exactly.Benkovic has not played single game in PL,has injury problems and Wes who is too old for this shit.

I bet those worried about Cags and Benkovic as starters would be absolutely gagging for us to get the deals over the line if we were actually linked with them today rather then already having them in the squad. 

 

Why are we always so so quick to ridicule and disregard young talent ? It happens all the bloody time !!

Quite happy with the quality/potential of the CBs we have. It may be prudent to get another CB in, for the cover/numbers sake. However, if we stop as soon as we get Praet (Please), then we should be good.

As it stands, we have a fantastic squad of players. 

Established top flight players and some very exciting young players coming through. 

If they get someone in, then great, but if they don't, I'm still looking forward to this season.

If we signed Benkovic today rather than last year do you think everyone would still be getting their knickers in a twist?

 

Because we basically didn't have him as he was out on loan
