Lambert09 Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 I can take him missing chances. I can take him making the wrong decisions at the crucial times. But not closing someone down in the 93rd minute of a huge match is unforgivable. Everyone in the world knew what elmo was going to do when the ball got to him but Demari didnt want to get hit with the ball. Completely let us down. Im happy for him to go now.
dmayne7 Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 He should have closed him down for sure. But what the hell was Rodgers' doing bringing him on at left wing back. Dreadful management 1

lgfualol Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 Don't blame Gray. Defending was woeful, some keepers would have also come out and punched that. It was a great cross tho. £10m in the Summer will be decent for Gray though.

Harvey still looked decent. Unforgivable from Gray. He's got 5 minutes and all that's expected from him with fresh legs is to run. Sell him to whoever will have him.
Trelleh Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 I’ll pay for his transfer fee providing I don’t see him wear the badge on his chest again.

Simple If gray closes down the ball, it doesn’t then get to ricardo’s position Edited 28 January 2020 by turkish14
HesNotGudjonsonn2 Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 That was all his fault. I have always believed it will come good with him and he will learn but why he did not close down was incredible. He will never learn.
Guest MattP Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 Just watched it again. Pretty unforgivable to be honest.

If he closes him down as soon as the ball goes to him, 9/10 that ball doesnt get to our box Yes the defending was pathetic. But it shouldnt have got there.
Guest Col city fan Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 I wonder if he’ll ever fulfill his potential? I doubt it now tbh
Popular Post Brainy Posted 28 January 2020 Popular Post Posted 28 January 2020 I swear collectively if fans had their wish and we got rid of players we don't like we'd have a squad of about 6 5 1
Guest Kopfkino Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 Okay he should have closed him down but if that's Danny Simpson the goal doesn't happen, really poor awareness from Ricardo
Realjimbo Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 Gray is rubbish sure, but he was only on for minutes it was the 85min guys who let us down, both legs. This comes from bottling the first leg. 2
Rusko187 Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 It's been long said that he lacks a "footballing brain". Tonight was proof of that, time to go!
Guest ttfn Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 Wembley final on the line and he just stands off. He’d just come on for goodness sake.

We had loads of chances no one person can be blamed with any real authority. 1
Stephen Hughes Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 Not watched the goal again but was screaming at him to close the cross down. Can’t let anyone have a free cross on goal! 1 1
BlueSi13 Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 Once again he shows he has all the physical attributes but cannot read a football match and it's cost us. He simply hasn't made that step up. I truly think the lad needs to get out of Birmingham. A move to a club up north or down south could kick-start his career IMO.
Realjimbo Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 (edited) Hate to put this out there but is Schmeichel really up to it now? Pretty average to me. Nyland will soon be second choice at Villa! Oops... wrong thread! Edited 28 January 2020 by Realjimbo
Tanya Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 I can't say he is to blame because I can't stand to watch that goal again. But our defending was weak whole game so I'd wager it's a collective issue.
Lambert09 Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 Send him to forest and let him piss up their promotion bid. 2
pSinatra Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 I think he came on to take a penalty Not sure why anyone would want to crucify someone who was on the pitch for 5 minutes 1
Blue-fox Posted 28 January 2020 Posted 28 January 2020 I don’t like Gray as a player And I think we should bin him off but you can’t slate him for their second goal. It’s Ricardo man, he’s at fault. 2
