Usafox1 Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 I think there's a good chance Wilf will be gone in January. There're a few big teams needing a defensive MF that'll be willing to pay . Arsenal, Man U, and city need a DM, they'd love to steal Wilf from us. 3

No way so we sell any major player in January bar something extraordinary like the Xhaka incident.

Your bordering on delusional. We are competing for a Champions league spot. There's no way the club would let him leave in January. Unless you want Rodgers to walk away in the summer.

Champions League qualification will be worth at least £50m. £2.5m per place in the PL. There is no value in selling him in January. If someone wants him bad enough they'll still pay a similar fee in the summer. Every player in the squad knows that they don't leave mid season unless the club sanction it without being under duress. In the summer players might agitate for a move but not in January when the club may well be on the cusp of CL qualification. Edited 13 November 2019 by Gerard

I don’t think you have thought this through properly. Since the owners took over, when have we ever sold a player on anyone’s but our own terms? Why would we sell someone so instrumental half way through a season? Mahrez had to wait two years for his ‘ dream move’
yorkie1999 Posted 13 November 2019 Posted 13 November 2019 What do yer reckon If someone offered 150 million,
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 13 November 2019 Posted 13 November 2019 We'd sell, but if my gran had a penis she'd be my grandad, too. 1

"Does the work of two players" was what he said about him. He's different gravy. Rarely gets MOTM but is 8/10 pretty much every week. Love the guy. Shades of the Kante brothers, methinks.

We would lose some solidity which would cost us, but we would look even better in a footballing sense. Not that I think anyone would pay it, because it would be a world record (for a DM) by miles. I get it - you are Paul Slurson - come on admit it. 1
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 November 2019 Posted 13 November 2019 (edited) Ndidi is yet another example of a player who ‘caught out’ a decent number of posters on here. Like Maddison, Pereira and even Vardy ffs, people were writing that they were over-the-hill, weren’t very good anyway and the such like. Many argued that Vardy should be binned. The problem, of course, was PUEL. These players are top quality footballers but either did not or could not perform to their best under Puel. Now we have a decent manager, instilling confidence into these players, playing them correctly and with a smile on his face, we see the players for who they really are. Ndidi is top drawer. Look at his stats but also just watch him play. He rarely loses a 50:50 and generally knows where to be to break up opposition play. Puel had him as a box to box midfielder. Which was so wrong. Popular Post Carl the Llama Posted 13 November 2019 Popular Post Posted 13 November 2019 Looking at the generation of players that took Man City to the next level, Wilf could end up being our Yaya: That dominating midfield marshall who oversees our transition from provincial shadow club to genuine contenders, becoming a club legend in the process. 6
lgfualol Posted 13 November 2019 Posted 13 November 2019 Ndidi seems a smart chap, I think even if he does get good offers in Jan he will want to see this season out and probably next season too it we get CL.

Nobody hated on Ndidi here ffs. Just about everyone rates him highly and have done since he arrived. Some people, me included, were critical of his passing. Rightfully so if I may say so. His passing was bordering on abysmal. The rest of his game was good but his ability in possession was poor. He looked to have improved on that so good on him. Just because people criticise players doesn't mean they are written off, for christ sake. 6 1

RowlattsFox Posted 13 November 2019 Posted 13 November 2019 I don't know if Ndidi has improved massively on the ball or we are just generally using him better and not expecting him to do too much with it. To be fair though he is capable of the odd ping out wide to Ricardo. Superb player and would take a huge bid to get him. We have so much value in this squad its unreal.
hackneyfoxx Posted 13 November 2019 Posted 13 November 2019 (edited) Really shd have scored that sitter vs The Arse - think thats why Madders gave him a shout out on TV after the game cos he would been beating himself up about it, Edited 13 November 2019 by hackneyfoxx 1
