Got home at 2am After the 140 mile trip home from the game, traffic a nightmare in southampton. We ran into jonny Evans at the services near Winchester. What a nice bloke, spoke to us and said the main issue was the conditions which were terrible. a complete performance against a poor side but the team spirit is as good as 2015/16 and the quality even better. Harvey Barnes was electric. ive has good and bad times watching the City home and away for over 40 years and last night was one of those special nights, just pleased i’d got my two sons with me to share it. Great post mate. I can't think of a single club that has had it as good as us over the last 6 or 7 years

I bet Gunn's watching that back now thinking 'yeah, should have just let that one in. Shouldn't have exerted myself unnecessarily.

I cannot believe it's one or the other.
easilee Posted 27 October 2019 Posted 27 October 2019 What really astounds me is that it could very easily have been double figure scoreline ! Can you imagine if 3 or four of our other chances had gone in..... ? It could have been 12 or 13 nil !! Unbelievable !
easilee Posted 27 October 2019 Posted 27 October 2019 We have a utilized training warm-up method. Cool.
urban.spaceman Posted 27 October 2019 Author Posted 27 October 2019 This chap is particularly upset about something.
The whole world smiles Posted 27 October 2019 Posted 27 October 2019 That USA side were playing a bunch of pig farmers and fisher women who had lost their previous game 6-1 and would lose there next game 5-1. We were playing a fellow highly professional premier league outfit who were coming off a draw with wolves. The two situations are hardly comparable.
Koke Posted 27 October 2019 Posted 27 October 2019 Tbf Vardy would celebrate like a bellend if he bagged his 5th goal in a 12-0 win over Kidderminster Harriers U15.
Koke Posted 27 October 2019 Posted 27 October 2019 And I do think the criticism of the USWNT was way over the top. So they do have a point.
ultrafox Posted 27 October 2019 Posted 27 October 2019 Another record broken for me this weekend. That was the number of times I've replayed the highlights of a single match. Must be near 20 now. So that's watching 180 goals. Excuse me while I make that 189. Complete indulgence.
Jimothy Posted 27 October 2019 Posted 27 October 2019 Wouldn't normally but just replied to that last Matthew Ungar tweet where he's responded to Jake Humphrey. I get his point about the USWNT, but Jake was talking about our club culture and connection between the team and fans, along with the emotion of the year anniversary of the death of our chairman who instilled that culture.

dyanmark Posted 27 October 2019 Posted 27 October 2019 Best things about Friday were that Barnes and Chiwell finally got on the same wavelength with Barnes dropping inside it gave Chiwell room to work and then when Barnes got the ball he was in a more potent position The other side seemed to do a similar job Plus we didn't just crash the crosses in there were some nice cut back balls and chilwell looked up and played some good balls ,We didn't seem to play at great pace just very accurate and good movement . Well done all round . The celebrations were different achievements .Hattricks ,a super free kick, and a record win.
09bballer Posted 27 October 2019 Posted 27 October 2019 I wonder what Maguire was thinking on Friday evening...

You're right, they were both superb, everything seemed to come down our left and it was nice to see Chilwell get some quality in his crosses. He overshadowed Ricardo for once but they were given sooo much time and space. I really think it was down to the absence of Southampton's defence. I can't see them ever having an easier game in the PL
