urban.spaceman Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 Were Man City better than us? Obviously. Would the scoreline be the same if VAR was actually competent? Obviously not. Pathetic refereeing.
sheffield_fox Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 I generally don't have anything against former Leicester players, but I think we can all agree that Mahrez can now fvck right off...
Vacamion Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 2nd best for the first time in a few months. Still 2nd in the league, though.
purpleronnie Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 It's one of those games where you don't (or at least i don't) expect anything, but that goal gave us all hope. Oh well.
ARTY_FOX Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 Not bothered so much we lost. Disappointed at the manner of the loss. We didn't look like we were up for the fight. Super super passive and let them do whatever they wanted to really.
Izzy Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 We weren’t great but we weren’t allowed to be. Sometimes you’ve just gotta doff your cap and admit you lost to the better team. Man City are champions for a reason and would’ve beaten anyone today.
twister Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 Team have been outstanding this season for you but at united and today they completly froze, city are brilliant but that was so poor.

Obviously not. Pathetic. It obviously would. It was men against boys. Utterly bizarre to blame VAR on that one. We were very, very lucky we didn't lose 9-1. 3-1 massively flattered us. Anyway, it was a one-off game. We're still having an incredible season. Nonsense to blame that defeat on VAR though.
Tuna Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 We were well beaten today, and Kasper saved us from a really heavy defeat. But lets be realistic, they are a fantastic team, one of the best teams in premier league history with world class players like De Bruyne in their XI. When they are on it they are unbeatable and they were on it today. But remember, we are 2nd in the table at Christmas, have just been on an 8 game winning run and are in a cup semi final. Plenty of reasons to be cheerful right now.

RowlattsFox Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 Totally outclassed in all areas. I don't know what Rodgers could have done differently, man city Judy had all areas covered. We barely got the ball and when we did we had noone to pass to. Just weren't even in it.
lozzyblue fox Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 Well on that display our players will all be here come end of Jan.
matty98 Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 Disappointing because we're better than that, too many players having an off day.
Guest ttfn Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 Manchester City were excellent, comfortably the best team we’ve played by a distance and we didn’t turn up. As I said in the match thread it’s absolutely ridiculous that you can get a penalty for a minimal clip of the foot but absolutely nothing for being totally wiped out to the extent that you somersault and end up going off injured.
Fox in the North Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 We’ve improved massively this season, but we’re still a work in progress. We’re still second and have only lost 3 games this season and have a reasonable chance to get to a cup final. We go again next week and then crack on after that.

Aus Fox Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 2nd best to arguably the 2nd best side in Europe. Another embarrassing match day thread. Only our third defeat of the season, all in the North West. We go to Christmas second. Not our day, but how can you not be happy as a Leicester fan right now.
Guest An Sionnach Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 Thing is we were not that great against Norwich or Everton in the second half.
Vacamion Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 DeBruyne and Mahrez had stormers. We needed them not to have stormers. Would be just like us to beat the Scousers now.
bfox Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 Man city clearly a level above us tonight. Completely bamboozled us from the off and we never manage to click.
whoareyaaa Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 Can't really complain we are in our 1st year of rebuilding.. they have been champions the last two seasons and have a team that is on another level due to the work over the last few years. Top four is still well and truly on. Plenty of work to do yet though, thought he got the formation wrong today trying to match Man city we should have gone a bit more defensive. Think we will fair better against Liverpool, never easy to go away to this Man city side no matter who you are specially when they are in that form

Daggers Posted 21 December 2019 Posted 21 December 2019 It’s a game we needed. The squad will learn from it and help us to become the team we are yet to be. Man City are a finished article, we are a project...people forget that. Mahrez can go pleasure himself with a rusty pole though.
