They had to have new floodlights it's for ultra HD. They have the ability to do things like this now. Using LED lights is probsbly even cheaper so they are probsbly saving money.

Thought it was as disappointing as the game itself. No colour at all and some dismal fireworks.

Yep. My lad enjoyed it.. i didnt dislike it infact thought it added some build up and also a bit of theatre (the atmosphere was better in the build up for sure). Keep it going on night games and look to improve it.

I was more peed off with that silly camera on the high wire  zooming up and down and distracting from the game. Hope that was a one off.

That thing was ****ing horrible. 

 

A spidery little thing that had dystopia undertones. 

 

Right in the eyeline for some parts of the game. I did think about complaining about that.

Club does something to try to add atmosphere, gets stick. Club does nothing to help with atmosphere, gets stick. Can’t win either way. I thought it helped the atmosphere at the start, but the tannoy was too loud and it went on too long. Not bad for a first go. No problem with it again in the future

I think the club should have vu vu zeal's to take to away games to annoy the feck out of the home fans of other clubs, as for the light show, not bothered by it so if peeps enjoy it, let it continue

For me it's the same as clappers and santa hats. If Notts Forest or Derby did it we'd be laughing our heads off.

Absolutely with you on that one. Also the wire hanging down from roof to ground in front of C Block corner. Annoying but it probably enhances the TV experience so sod the match going attendees.

Was this just a one off/reserved for special occasions or will it be a regular thing that happens at every match?

I think it won't be a one off and we may see something for the more important games. Perhaps even for CL/European games to go along with tifos.

If we do anything like that again I'd rather us keep the ground dark and just have the fox eyes on screen.

And for the countdown of when the players montage which the loud thud (?!) at the end when the fox eyes comes on. 

 

When the ground is dark and those eyes on screen it does feel quite intimidating and proper got the atmosphere up before Liverpool.

Exactly this. Needs to happen wednesday but dont put the lights on straight away after leave it in darkness for a few seconds

Does anybody have pictures of this.  They don't show any of this on the tv.  Because listening to Carragher is so important
