Sheffield Utd post match

Recommended Posts

great display, Sheffield united were as basd as they were at Newcastle to be fair, they looked like the games have caught up with them.

but the system worked well, and young Thomas had a superb game. Big wes got through the game well considering he has barley played.

Nidi where has that performance been all action today.

still think beating united on the last day is a long shot based on performances, but todays win gives the lads a chance.

Superb performance tonight. Thomas was magnificent on debut.

HUGE shoutout to Wes slotting straight back in though.

Tielemans was excellent too, as were Perez, Vardy, Ndidi and Justin.

A win, performance and clean sheet were just what were needed after Bournemouth. Over to you, Palace.

Having this legend back made a massive difference.

Absolutely rock solid today.

We obviously don’t have a lot of choice about who we pick at centre back at the moment but today was a perfect fixture for him.

Very good performance. Thomas, Bennett and Morgan all solid.

Barnes cannot be that wasteful though. You do that against the Man Citys and Liverpools of the league and it will cost you massively.

Completely - so many pelters for Bennett…. He stepped up and was great some lovely range to his passing too

What a fantastic professional performance.

Rogers got it spot on.

Thomas was fabulous, what a talent we have there. Justin getting better each game.

Wes Morgan...what an absolute hero. So solid and experienced. Just what was needed. Evans and Bennet were excellent next to him. What a pass from Evans for 2nd goal.

Youri is so good further forwards. Best performance from him for a long time.

Ndidi solid as always.

Perez. That's what we signed him for. Harvey was a constant threat. That boy has wheels. Must be quickest in squad apart from perhaps Grey who took his chance well.

Vardy was class. Deserved a goal. Worked tirelessly but also showed us what we already know. That he's got an all round game.

Just what was needed before two massive games. No reason we can't go to Spuds expecting something.

Come on you foxes!

Following the criticism Rodgers got after the Bournemouth game think he got it spot on tonight. The experience and solidity Wes, Evans and Bennett showed allowed Justin and Thomas to really flourish (Chilwell watch your back). The subs were spot on too, easy to say when you’re winning, but Gray really stretched them and Hamza put himself about as usual. Ndidi was a monster, would love to know how many tackles he won. After some speculation surrounding Rodgers grasp on the squad I think the determination and strength showed by the lads tonight totally shut those rumours down.

Absolutely. Against an opposition with no pace he's still got it.

Just his legs that have gone. His brain and heart are still world class.

Love big Wes our leader

Just his organisational skills, calmness and leadership made a world of difference. No doubt made it a lot easier for Thomas and Bennett looked so much more comfortable.

Well some people on here have got egg on their faces.

A great display from our horrendous, geriatric, unbelievably slow back 3. Kasper only had 1 save to make and that deflected off Wes's knee.

Excellent, yes Sheff utd probably not at their best but that was a great response.

****ing love Wes Morgan. What a man. Sheffield United perfect opposition for him but comes in and just does his job. Legend.

Vardy is twice the player when he has a couple of goals to his name in recent matches. Held it up so much better than he has done.

Luke Thomas was confident and just did his job well.

Solid all round performance.

Let's just take a minute to appreciate that we've at least finished 5th and qualified for Europa League. ****ing great achievement. Well done lads.

Fantastic performance from the boys, and Brendan. Back 3 were solid, wing backs were superb. Ndidi unbeatable, Youri bossed it. Perez and Harvey were creative and put in a shift. Vardy brought out my sock of love. You just knew Dimi was going to score. Great subs by Brendan. MOTM Young Luke.... Never put a foot wrong.
