Premier League 2020/21 Thread

They improved a bit 2nd half but the only chance they have created is a half chance header from a corner.

At least they are pressing a bit higher up and a bit more aggressively but the lack of overall quality is clear as day.

Yes they’re a terrible side who look doomed.

It took an injury time goal from us to beat them 🤭

We also hit the post twice and basically controlled the game. It was our standard awful defending at a set piece which  they scored from.

With great teams like us Leicester, Everton, Southampton, West Ham, Adton Villa and Wolves do the big 6 really would want to break away. Their fans will get bored very quickley playing Europe teams every week.

It’s a crazy idea. If they’re crap now, they’ll be even worse getting battered by the likes of Bayern, Juventus, Madrid, PSG every week. They’d soon lose interest.

When we kicked off against Sheffield United in July, they'd just beaten Tottenham, Wolves and Chelsea and were a few points behind us.

They've managed 1 point in 15 matches since, scoring 6 goals.

That’s a crazy stat.

They’ve never recovered from the first lockdown.

Chris Wilder has done all he can.  Sometimes you have to put your hand up and admit you can do no more.  Even Big Sam would struggle to breath life into this lot.  Hopefully their fans will be let in soon to witness their last days rubbing shoulders with the ‘Huge 6’.

I don't know really, those three results came in the two weeks before we played them.

They scored 39 last season which means you rely on a good defence as well as being involved in tight games. They also picked up four points each from Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Wolves- that's a massive ask to do it again.

I don't think they are as bad as one point from 36 but they lack real threat going forward despite having five strikers in the squad.

Sky try and push this two thousand fans, making a huge difference , fantastic atmosphere at every game with fans.

I’m sure it’s better than no one being there but there’s definitely a bit of self interest in there as well to upsell their product.
