Apparently he's on 100 grand a week.

Good player but this is the reason why not.

Let's pick him up from Newcastle in a year or so, when they've got bored of him and their fans have slaughtered him for not being Alan Shearer.

This is fascinating from a neutral point of view.

Either Sheff Utd hold on and they feel like the abyss isn't quite as deep (they are still going down though) and Newcastle lose against *the worst team in the league* and their fans clamour for Bruce to be sacked.

Or.

Necastle equalise, Sheff Utd are utterly crushed, and Newcastle's fans clamour for Bruce to be sacked.

Could go either way.

Another reason I dislike streaming vs my Cable+DVR service -- I missed the Sheffield goal, and I can't rewind the Peacock stream to see the goal.

It was the only way they were going to win one, red card, VAR penalty and hopeless opponents.

There is something quite satisfying about Newcastle fans going into meltdown lol

NTM Derby fans ...   lol

- What is it with Newcastle and crap Prem teams, do they think it's a charity?

- Good old Newcastle.  Always good for a reprieve. Had a feeling.

- Even before the sending off it was hard to see what Bruce was trying to achieve. Cowardly approach to a game against a team with such a poor record....

Can't imagine going through life with my fondest football hope being that some other, any other PL club will someday finish with single-digit points.

The sending off may've been soft. Penalty possibly a push.

What isn't in doubt is that Newcastle were comfortably second best before the red card. Bruce wanted a draw.

"Enhanced protocols" will do shit all whilst footballers continue to ignore the rules and do what they want.

The 2 most blatant yellows you'll ever see

I didn't see the first, the second was a definite yellow but I wondered if it would've been one clear, one soft. Obviously not.

What are people opting for tonight - Burnley vs Man Utd or Wolves vs Everton?

Seriously, probably the former, see what nonsense that Man U get up to this week.

Meh - I've got more Cyberpunk 2077 to play :P

(Note: the game works fine on my system, and have had very few issues with it - most annoyances are due to consolitis.)
