Sure Rodgers has picked up on this as he often loses track of the runner. Teams are now targeting Tielemans as they know he is defensively vulnerable. Brilliant attacking and creative talent but needs to work on that side of his game. 1
FLAN Posted 28 December 2020 Posted 28 December 2020 Was more focussed on pushing benteke in the back which could have been a penalty. He’s awful At marking so why is he put in that situation at corners? We seem to have a real weakness in covering the back post from crosses in general

StriderHiryu Posted 3 January 2021 Author Posted 3 January 2021 Brilliant again today! Love watching him do his thing. Only bad thing was what was he doing after that 1-2 with Vardy where he overhit it to Castagne?! Think he should have shot there. Otherwise a great display and a superb goal. IMO he is our overall player of the season so far. When he plays well, we win!
StanSP Posted 3 January 2021 Posted 3 January 2021 Have wanted to see this kind of finishing and shooting from him turn in to goals for ages. Has come close on a few occasions. Happy he could get a goal! 4

FoxFromCoalville Posted 3 January 2021 Posted 3 January 2021 Perfectly timed tactical foul from him today. At the risk of this coming back to bite me we seem to be getting much better at this as a team which seems to be a big part of the modern game 1
ARTY_FOX Posted 3 January 2021 Posted 3 January 2021 Superb again. Really lucky to have him. Only negative is his celebrations arent coming along as I'd like. Must do better. 1 3
Popular Post deanolegend1989 Posted 3 January 2021 Popular Post Posted 3 January 2021 Him Ndidi and Madders are a pleasure to watch. These 3 are the key to us. They compliment each other so well and can tell they are a class above. I’ve been saying this since the start of last season but Youri and Wilf especially are as good as anything in the league or world right now and we’re very lucky to have them. There both 23 as well so entering their prime. Scary how good we can be when we have this spine. 7

When does that count reset?

Foxy harry Posted 3 January 2021 Posted 3 January 2021 Can see him joining a mega club for big big money at some point. Can see him suiting barca to a tee.

Dahnsouff Posted 3 January 2021 Posted 3 January 2021 Realise people maybe slightly twitchy with the next sale seeming likely as the Winter or following Summer Windows approach, but is Youri one? Is he looking for a big club move? Or does he like the life he has earnt himself here? I realise it’s a perceived norm to want the best clubs, but does he feel a big move is needed I wonder?
car1os Posted 3 January 2021 Posted 3 January 2021 I’m hoping we get another 18 months out of him before he goes for big money. He signed because he knew he’d enjoy it here. I can’t see him leaving in the summer

Hales Posted 3 January 2021 Posted 3 January 2021 I don't think Youri will push for a move. I suspect the next sale will be Ricardo 😔
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 3 January 2021 Posted 3 January 2021 I didn’t realise he more or less made that goal too with the touch on the turn around the Newcastle player. Pure class
kingfox Posted 3 January 2021 Posted 3 January 2021 We saw the best and the worst of Youri today. Far too many misplaced passes at times, then he comes up with a great strike, all thanks to a wonderful move that he played a big part in. Wasn’t his best today, but the main thing is that he’s starting to contribute one way or another, something that was missing from his game numerous times last season.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 3 January 2021 Posted 3 January 2021 Was a bit off today, Newcastle work very hard, and I was a bit dismayed with the finish. BR should tell him to stop showing off. 1

Fantastic player but his defensive strength still needs building further. If he gets that in his locker, he will be the complete midfielder.
honeybradger Posted 3 January 2021 Posted 3 January 2021 I would like to see him played further up the pitch than he was today and for most of this season. I get that's he's very useful dictating play from deep but i think there is a way for rodgers to get both from him and have him making runs further forward more often as he can be so effective in the oppositions 3rd as we saw today.
