What exactly is the benefit of a loan + obligation to buy deal?  How is it preferable to a straight up purchase?

I can assure you it's FM20, had to load up my own version and add a Manager as Roma. I wanted to shithouse the rep point by finding an image on google to no avail.

Personally can't get excited about a player that struggled to make the first team at Roma this year.  Also seems like a lot of dosh for a reserve player, even if the outlay is delayed a year.
