Post Match Thread - Man City (A)

[Vlad the Fox]

I signed up to man city tv today to watch the women’s match. I’m now going to watch their reaction to this because I’m a smug bastard.

[RowlattsFox]

Not sure how that happened but what a win. We can complain about sitting back but it worked, it nullified the best side going forwards there is. Not sure Amartey put a foot wrong, Mendy superb, everyone did their job superbly. Yes we had 3 penalties and some will use that as some sort of weakener for the result but who cares.

Whisper it quietly but is Castagne even better than Ricardo? So good so far.

Is this 2015/16 or 20/21?!

It was okay I guess!

Unreal. I can't believe what we just watched.

Thought we were in for a long afternoon after Mahrez scored.

Great resolve from the team. Scoring 5 against Man City is unheard of. Can't believe what just happened.

[surrifox]

It’s on - we are going to do a Leicester

[Sir Shep]

Such a shame no fans could witness one of our best ever results.

[Mythyaar]

Have to admit I thought we'd get leathered today. Still in shock!

Those stats look all too familiar!

[Spiritwalker]

Tactical master class from Rodgers.

[Guest SO1]

To be able to pull that from our back pocket and beat one of the best teams in the world is incredible. Masterclass.

I was ranting after 25 minutes about how we lacked any courage. So am very happy to eat a shed load of humble pie at the end. We grew into it, got that first penalty and once we took the lead, we dominated really.

So many excellent performances. I thought Tielemans had his best game yet, Mendy worked his socks, Castagne was class and I want to give Justin a shout out too. Superb strike by Maddison and great he's getting minutes in. And Vardy with the hatctrick. 😂

Humble pie anyone? Especially those nutjobs posting negativity beyond all belief in the match thread when we went 1-0 down. Come on, own up and admit you might just have been wrong?

No, we were shit first 25.

As soon as we took a 3 goal lead I was very effusive in my praise of Brendan

[SAFC1]

Absolutely brilliant lads.

[Gazza3]

Need to stop conceding from corners though

I just have on my post. Though we were cack in the opening 25.😂

One of the most ridiculous games you will ever see. Sensational.

I'm already way ahead of you in not being ahead of ourselves.

[dayday]

I’m not going to lie I think we was to conservative first half against a depleted Man City side, I thought we would press them more.

But hey hoe it turned out alright

[Blue-fox]

Shout out to Amartey, what a first league game back.

Mendy also in the middle, gets some stick on here but played very well again today.

[Lesta Legend]

Played the way we wanted play, kept calm when we conceded but our counterattacks superb. Man City then looked there for taking and bam.

Felt Man City would have enough to win but goes to show we have some outstanding players. Castagne is superb.

[waylander]

How many of those players we are wanting to sign will be knocking the blooming door down now 😱😱😱. What a team 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

[Lesterlad]

Nothing less then I expected
