Everyone in a rush to drop Evans!

One of our most consistent performers.

Based on performance this season, Litte Wez and Evans for me.

Drop is the wrong word, he's going to need some games off.

I'm not so sure he does. He seems to be one of those players that needs to be playing every week to maintain his fitness and form getting better as the season goes on. When he's available he plays.

He can still play every week and be rested.

Regardless, Cags is early twenties, Fofana is a teen and Evans is in his thirties. Sooner or later, they're going to need to step in and replace him.

Technically he's available to be signed on a pre-contract in 2 months time as well.

Fortuna and Calgar will be the first choice centre back pairing from Christmas onwards.

You've given me a great excuse to attach this music - someone needs to find 5 minutes worth of Fofana gold to go with this.

Think we have to be careful assuming Evans would be happy to step into an effective 3rd choice role.

He could go and take the same role at a bigger club than us, and likely significantly increase his wages.

A decent run in the Europa a switch to 343 in some games as well as injuries suspension and rotation will mean plenty of games for all 3. Important to secure Evans for another season. Wes and Cags still too inexperienced to be our main CBs.

At some point, Evans is going to need to reduce his workload and either take a 20 game a season PL role and play for NI, or drop NI and concentrate on three more fill seasons at top level.

Most players tend to drop the international since that's not what pays the proverbial mortgage

That's only to non-English teams, isn't it?

I think we'll give him another year at least soon.

That's what I meant by this year.

Nobody's contract expires in January.

Fair enough. I just think of the end of the year as new year's eve. When the year ends. Maybe that's weird.

That means your connected to reality. Probably not a good thing if you're a football supporter.

With FA Cup, League Cup a hopefully long European campaign, intermittent Internationals and a gruelling Premier League season there's no danger of any of the defenders being dropped. I wouldn't be surprised if they're begging for a bit of a break by February.

Am I right in thinking that there is both an adductor AND abductor injury available?

Indeed
