Surely the clubs would argue it was an illegal league operating without any sanction from any governing body and therefore the whole thing was a non entity.

It would be hilarious if through all this scheming they’d added another 300m onto their debt. lol

Why are they now bothered about the fans and players for points deductions?

I've always argued exactly the same for administration. It doesn't punish the scum who put the club in that position by running it badly.

Amazing they're using that as the get out for not coming down on them hard enough for this.

If you want to solve the problem. Declare all of the owners unfit and ban them. Make them sell off their clubs to unconnected businesses and investors. Kick them out of football. Period. If they want to start a league on their own dime then fine. Let them start from scratch and take the risk.

After all there is a reason they call them asset strippers. Everything the PL and your country has created they want to take, turn around and sell to the highest bidder. They have no Arete. The only way to truly kill the tree is tear it out roots and all.

The only way or they will be back. Laws mean nothing to them. They own the law.

Strip each club of their names and invite them to reapply to join League 2, or better still the Northern/Southern Leagues as phoenix clubs.

Cmon Premier league, I wouldn't stop laughing for 10 years.

Although it would be hilarious if all 6 PL clubs had to fork out 300m each, the fact it would help save Barca and Real from there shocking financial mismanagement almost puts me off the idea  lol

It wouldn’t save them at all because in their wisdom they would instantly spunk it on a marquee signing. Stupid is as stupid does.

It was actually a new level of entitlement when during the whole Super League nonsense, Perez moaned about finances and then signed Alaba- the crazy old Spaniard sure does have style. lol

As I’ve said before there will be a limp wristed tap. A whinging plea not to do it again and that will be that.

The FA are too weak and the teams too big for them to be punished adequately. Even the other clubs in the EPL are scared to punish them harshly incase it upsets them and they try to leave again.

In all honesty failure to punish them now will just embolden them and they will find another way to screw everyone over. We will see nothing but appalling weakness from the football authorities.

It’s a complete joke.

Feckless owners hiding their own fiscal ineptitude by blaming the system that gives them more than any other club.

Hopefully instead of masking this issue it has shined a light on it and will force change.

These clubs have bought their status’ and silverware by financial doping and cheated us all out of fair competition for decades and hopefully the chickens are coming home to roost.

I used to get annoyed in the old days when an opposition player would get a red card and get injured at the same time, thereby serving a ban for games they’d miss anyway.

For that reason the idea of banning the clubs from Europe for a season would have to be worded correctly; ie “banned... next time they qualify” cos we can’t be letting Arsenal and Spurs get away with being shit.

I want to qualify for the CL because we've made top four due to our results. It would demean our qualification if they were banned now.

......it wouldn't devalue our achievement, there are existing rules in force that caters for misdemeanours by clubs and we need to enforce them!!! All clubs signed up to this through our respective Associations, and they need to put this in motion, it is nothing to do with us and what we do, it is about what they have done and the integrity of the respective FA's.

Why next season give them the 30 point deduction now😉

I thought about that but as it stands only Arsenal would be punished hardest as they would go into the bottom 3, whereas if its the start of next season and all 6 started say -20 or -30 points its a hell of an ask for all to overcome that handicap during the season, i honestly couldnt see chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and maybe united and liverpool getting to far up the table. They would have to get 50 points just to accumulate 20 or 30 points which would still keep them in  relegation trouble.

Should all start on -12/15 next season like the clubs who go into administration do. Would make for a very interesting league next season if it happened.

I think most would still go on to challenge top four despite the point deduction but I think Arsenal would struggle the most in fact they could be favourites to go down. Who would have thought it.

Since they wanted to set up like the NFL, there should be an NFL-style dispersal draft.

Each of the Scumbag Six will make their entire roster available.  The highest finishing non-Scumbag PL club will select one player from each.  Registration of each player transfers immediately.

Salaries continue to be paid by the Scumbag clubs.

Does anyone understand the argument that the clubs and players shouldn’t suffer for the behaviour of the owners and board ?   The players get the benefit of the investment from the owners like abramovitch and Mansour in wages and s/o fees so why should they not suffer when they makes bad calls like this.  Surely you can’t separate the owners from their club ????

For me they are all one entity, inextricably linked. The clubs stood to gain immeasurably from this shady deal. The players and fans would have benefited. If you nail your colours to that mast, you have to take all that comes with it, you can't pick and choose.

It’s mad

klopp saying that because the players and staff didn’t know then they shouldn’t suffer any sanction ...... what about all the good decisions that their owners take which benefits them ?  Presumably they are happy to take the upside but not any of the downside .....it’s a crap argument.

I don’t get the argument for not deducting points in all honesty, when they’ve set a precedent for similar club board for financial misdemeanours.
