Whatever happens the fans of these six clubs should not be punished because of the actions of their slime ball owners.

Why? Fans benefit from the good decisions their owners make and suffer when they make bad decisions.

Are you saying that if you're a big 6 club the fans need to be insulated from the bad decisions? Where do you draw the line?

This narrative that the fans or players can't be upset is exactly the kind of thing billionaire owners will want you to think.

Unfortunately, to do so is proliferate the elitism that these 12 are seeking to entrench. Less illustrious clubs who fall into financial mismanagement are punished at the cost of their fans, do you really suggest these clubs have fans who are of greater worth than these less illustrious clubs fans?

If the argument is that these special clubs cannot afforded to be punished for financial reasons in competitions for which the punitive measure is proposed, then this has regrettable truth, as impairing such clubs is to the detriment of the competitions as much as clubs. Therefore their fans have a level of protection.

Put a 12 month transfer ban as a start. Then limit their transfers to a net of 50m a season for 2 seasons.

Also make each of them pay 50m a season for next 2 seasons into the PL prizemoney kitty for teams other than the Six - this will address some who would say that limiting transfers may impact the “selling clubs”.

I would be against point deduction though. Unlike them, I like to compete and not “cheat”.

.. I do not understand this argument!!!

If we (Leicester City) were deducted points for misconduct or fielding an ineligible player and the punishment was a 20 point deduction,  I would be mad, but it would have been fair and we would have signed up to this when we accepted the terms for joining the League.

It is then upto the supporters (of the supposedly wronged club) to get a resolution to have some kind of say in how their club is run.

We are all-in this together and if the the owners screw up, we all have to wear it.

Fielding an ineligible player is an in house problem ! Something that happened in a high level meeting that the club had no control over should not affect the fans.

Got a feeling the Premier League will go Soft on these Mutineers, they’ll probably come out with something like “ if we dock them points or ban them from domestic competitions for a season we’ll only be hurting the fans !!”
As usual this Biased organisation will go on looking after the so called OLD Big 6 and carry on punishing the smaller clubs by fining and docking points for small infringements, where as the likes of these Greedy 6 have thrown the game & League into disrepute which could have had major ramifications throughout the Footballing Tiers in English Football the FA & Premier League need to show their cahonas and discipline these mutineers to the maximum possible hit them hard in their pockets hit them with sanctions as not able to sign anyone from now til end of next season Dock them points and with the fines taken from them distribute the millions to the lower league clubs who have suffered most during hardships of this pandemic !

Will they do it who knows I really hope they do punish them for this act of mutiny and basic bully boy tactics of were better than you and you’re not worthy to be in our greatness presence Greedy bunch of Cnuts !!

Now we wait!!

"Draw a line and move forward together"

BOLLUCKS

UEFA will be patting themselves on the back they threatened these super bitches and they fell into line.

Obviously no punishment will be handed out this season  and a million to one any punishments that actually affect the "on pitch" achievements of said super 6 will be carried out.

UEFA and FIFA are as corrupt as this superleague would have been so they will wait it out and give minimum 'punishment '.

If fans cause trouble at or before a game, especially if they invade the pitch then there would be a serious punishment imposed. With it being man u there will be none because the PL won't want to upset their darlings too much. Hypocrisy of the highest order.

Being cynical, I would bet that there are members of the organisations such as FIFA, EUFA, PL etc... who were the go between for the clubs and the ESL. They’ll likely have a job on their hands to limit the punishments to keep their names out of the firing line. Obviously it’s only a theory but it wouldn’t be out of the question.

MUFC fans are pretty much agreed they want a points deduction and wouldn't even mind it this season. A reduction in turnover from no Europe would hit the Glazers.

Fair play to those fans.

Every day that passes and no punishment is meted dilutes the strength of feeling. In a couple of months they'll throw a paltry 45k fine to each club.

As supporters we should be angry. And stay angry. And how exactly is a points deduction  or transfer ban punishing the fans? Its that kind of rhetoric that reveals the effective punishment. Don't want the points deduction? ****ing have one.

I'd be more than happy to see the title taken from Man City using a points deduction. If their fans are upset even better. It might spur some action.

...exactly!!!

I agree with you, I'm fairly sure Man U won't be docked any points. I imagine that if the protests were at St James's park, against Ashley for a Newcastle V Liverpool match, Newcastle would be docked points.

100%

As i've just said in another post whether it be 'project big picture', the 'super league', the argument of "You can't dock them points for the breakaway because it punishes the fans and players who have done no wrong", the protests, whether it's the owners/clubs, the authorities, fans, media, ex pundits, it's all hypocrisy of the highest order.

In a way it's time for football at the highest level to eat itself, implode and hopefully the local non-league clubs become benficiaries of all this.

...what you seem to fail to grasp is that they assume the fans will accept any decision they make!!!

The club are their supporters, every decision taken whether positively or negatively impacts the supporters their is no separation.

Fielding an ineligible player is subject to punitive measures.

Since 2004 around 30 clubs have been deducted points, I pretty sure the fans of these did nothing. including Leeds, Southampton, Cov, Bolton, Palace, Port Vale to name a few.

Where were all the people saying the fans of this club shouldn't be punished?

Money and power corrupts, now is the time to seize the moment and clean up the game of FIFA, UEFA, rogue owners, agents etc.

Racism (If we can stop a super league we can stop this.)

Squad salary caps
