Whatever is posted on here will not change one iota the REAL situation. "Supposition and theorising" really sums it up.

I do find it a little frustrating that Rodgers doesn't seem overly bothered whether we finish top 4 or not lol I'm sure he is, but doesn't give that impression to me.

I assume its because he doesn't want 5th to seem like a failure and he's determined to make sure people know that its a good achievement.

If Tielemans and Maddison are sold well have a £200 million transfer fund ourselves.

I don't mind the world's daftest high street model leaving to preen in front of someone else's mirror, but I'm not having Youri leaving for at least another two years....

No manager will ever come out and say it's failure.

I'd imagine in private it is a lot different.

Bigger club than Spurs really.

Of course not. I was just adding to the claptrap on these boards where folk expect him to end up. What you might consider a "tongue in cheek" remark.

Pretty sure he has FoxesTalk most wanted plastered all over the dressing room before every home game.

”Just remember lads, these f**kers called you sh*t, said you were stealing a f**king living”, they even said I was going to Spurs ffs”

”I know it’s tempting to think f**k ‘em, and just doss around, flicking the V’s at them for 90 minutes, but come on, for Top, for Kuhn Vichai, don’t listen to these ungrateful tw@ts”

”I mean they can’t even figure out what formation we play, the bunch of willy pullers”

Trying to judge what a manager thinks privately, with only what they say publicly seems a little fruitless to me.

I think he’s quite rightly trying to protect the players, take the pressure off and preempt the narrative that we have bottled it.

like he said after the final, success for Leicester cannot and should not be measured in the binary of win/loss. It can’t be that simple for a club of our size, budget and recent past.

Success for us, is putting ourselves in the position to compete for silverware and qualification spots.

Regardless of where we finish you cannot say the season has been a failure. Cup win aside.

We have been in the top 4  all season and the Team is better than last years both in personnel and performances.

We're still improving and the quality of player being linked with us is all good for the future.

All good for the future.

I've had the unpleasurable experience of being in his company a few times.

I did a horrible tackle on his son in front of him on the touch line, he was less than impressed.

Before anyone thinks I’m abusing kids, we were the same age at the time u13s if I recall correctly.

It wasn’t even deliberate, I was just shit and he mugged me off. Still, I left the game on my feet.

Why does Maddison doing a brand deal make him less valuable to us? He’s an extremely talented player who’s important for our club.

I fully accept that at his best, Madders is a talented and important player. I just think for various reasons, his latter half of the season's form  - injuries? baby on the way? following his ex into doing naff collaborations during an intense season? Whatever...he'd be less of a loss to us right now, than the serious football thinker, ultra-committed, doing his coaching badges, multi-lingual, cup winning, double player of the season winning,  Youri.

I also recognise, that as usual, and especially this year, we may need to sell a "star name". I'd rather it be current Madders, than current Youri. That's all.

I also don't remember Youri getting caught hiding under Perez' sofa at midnight in the middle of a lock-down and missing a crucial game....

So... this is the post about where we lost the season when we failed to play our strongest team against West Ham because we were "punishing" naughty boys?

THAT is where I see it all went wrong.

Not losing at home to Fulham and Newcastle, or not being able to beat a 10 man Southampton team in 80 mins?

Who do you hold responsible for that? The players, for letting down the entire club, or the manager for firmly putting them in their place when they did so?

Not at all... we lost many games we'd have expected/hoped to win during the season. It didn't exactly help though did it?

The two years we’ve failed to get top 4 over teams with shit loads of money you mean? lol

You're either being very stupid or very stubborn. I don't know you so I can't call it.
