He could have been sold for a pack of smokes and Costa Coffee two-for-one coupon in reality, but he now has the tag of a 30 million pound player.

Short of putting out a transfer list (it used to be a thing) until someone comes in for him, he will remain a squad member.

Even Juventus had to buy Locatelli with a loan and obligation and had to sell Ronaldo. Praet's wages plus transfer fee will make a sale this season impossible I think. If I was him I'd be fuming though, seeing Maddison play so badly and then seeing KDH come on instead of him. As a fan I love seeing KDH and think he will play a big part this season, but I do feel like Praet has been shafted by Rodgers for no real reason. I'd be intrigued in fact as to what the reason is, because originally Rodgers was one of the key reasons in bringing him here! If you compare the chances Perez has had to Praet it just seems a bit weird. 2 3

What a knock for your confidence! Hopefully with European and cup games coming up he will get some time? I can't see him leaving now? There is not a link of a move anywhere.... UHDrive Posted 28 August 2021 Posted 28 August 2021 I feel Praet must stay. If we play a midfield of 3 there are only 2 players who can take that right mid position and they are Praet and KDH. With the winger issues weve had we'd have no option but to push them out wider with our fullbacks. 2

However, it does seem weird that others who fail to impress continually get chance after chance and yet Praet doesn't. 1

His biggest problem is with Madders who is too big an asset for him to arbitrarily dispose of. Ostracizing Benkovic and Praet in this manner is very unprofessional. 2
