Scotch Posted 3 July 2021 Posted 3 July 2021 I would happily keep him but IF there was a conversation in which BR tells him that he won't see much game time and Kevin wants to leave.... I wouldn't begrudge him it but I doubt that would happen. Time and time again he's forced whatever manager it may be to play him by being reliable.
Ric Flair Posted 3 July 2021 Posted 3 July 2021 He'd rather play at a lower level than Burnley if that's his only other option at this level surely?
AS78UK Posted 3 July 2021 Posted 3 July 2021 Hard to see him wanting to go even if we did get another winger, he would still get a significant amount of game time here.
Popular Post Ric Flair Posted 3 July 2021 Popular Post Posted 3 July 2021 This thread title reminds me of a bloke in Starbucks who placed an order and when they asked his name he said " Mark with a C ". When it was ready the stupid twat had written Cark on the cup. 19
peach0000 Posted 3 July 2021 Posted 3 July 2021 He does an important job off the bench allowing us to see out games. Keep him for a year and then if he wants to leave on a free I’m sure everyone would wish him well as a legend of the club. Also with how Burnley have been acting when we’ve wanted McNeil or Tarkowski over the years and there over valuations I would be asking for many pound notes from Dyche just to piss him off more than anything! 1

Don't you start with McNeil
Merchant_Banker Posted 3 July 2021 Posted 3 July 2021 If he wants the move then he has earned the right to be given that chance. He is 31 and will find his opportunities reducing as we improve the squad. He may want to move to a club where he might keep getting regular game time. If he would prefer to stay then he is not for sale. 2
enmac Posted 3 July 2021 Posted 3 July 2021 Only 1 year left on contract. Only 3.6 M on Transfermarkt. Give him a new 3 year contract. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marc-albrighton/profil/spieler/61560
rachhere Posted 3 July 2021 Posted 3 July 2021 He would be spot on for Burnley - I can see why they are interested. But at this stage we would lead ourselves seriously vulnerable if we were to let him go. No deal.
ALC Fox Posted 3 July 2021 Posted 3 July 2021 I want to see our first ever Champions League goalscorer lifting the Europa League trophy next season. Definitely keep. 1
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 3 July 2021 Posted 3 July 2021 Albrighton will still be assisting Vardy for goals for us in 10 years time, don't worry. 1
Gerard Posted 4 July 2021 Posted 4 July 2021 (edited) As with any player, it's price dependent. We only have Barnes and Sowah as natural wingers without Albrighton and Sowah isn't to be trusted yet so if we were to sell we would need two more of first team standard. I've always thought Albrighton would be great at Burnley with the amount of crosses he gets in but I can't see this happening. Edit - Forgot about Perez. Maybe if we got in a first team RW with Barnes. We could then have Perez and Sowah as cover? Edited 4 July 2021 by Gerard
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 4 July 2021 Posted 4 July 2021 Offered a 3 year deal at the age of 31. Over to you Rudkin ….
LestaFox92 Posted 4 July 2021 Posted 4 July 2021 Nah I'd like to see him retire with us if possible and after last season he looks like he's still got more to give.
Countryfox Posted 4 July 2021 Posted 4 July 2021 (edited) He’s got blue blood now and is one of my favourites …. he’ll never go anywhere and will ultimately take over as Filbert Fox before being injected with concrete and put up as a living statue outside the main entrance …. where, as long as he has no ancestors involved in the slave trade, he will stay forever. Deeg67 Posted 4 July 2021 Posted 4 July 2021 Hard to see Albrighton wanting to leave, as he's a LCFC man through and through and plays more than he probably should as-is.
teblin Posted 4 July 2021 Posted 4 July 2021 Suits his game, they put a lots of crosses in. But I wouldn’t sell.
