Sounds about right as I don't hate any club I dislike a few players of various clubs but they mostly here today gone tomorrow dislikes although sadly some of them manage to become paid pundits.

It's because of where we are in the league. We're now competing for trophies but only starting to so the traditional big six don't see us as a big of a threat yet and we're ahead of teams like Everton, Wolves who fight out for the final european spot.

We've also been let down by our east Midlands rivals who can't get into never mind sustain a place in this league 😂

Id rather go quietly under the radar beating other teams, whats the point of hating.

Most other teams in out local area are utterly irrelevant Championship relegation fodder.

Can somebody explain why Brighton and Crystal Palace hate each other so much? I didn't even know that was a thing lol

Started in the 70s over a bad-tempered cup tie I think and just grew from there.

Crystal Palace is also near Croydon and therefore the nearest "London" club to Brighton

Just shows we've outgrown our rivals, woop de doo, I guess Wolves or Villa are our 'rivalry' now but feel very little animosity towards either, mainly Wolves because of how ****ing dire they are to watch and play against nothing to do with location or their fans!

Do you not think football is more exciting for them?

Please add a ninja emoticon for sarcasm.

We don’t need a “rivalry” to define us - we’re not Forest!

This.

Forest's obsession with pointing out we're not part of the East Midlands rivalry is one of the cringiest things in football.

It’s funny because seeing forest fans say how much they don’t care about Leicester is one of the only times forest enter my mind these days, otherwise they’re genuinely irrelevant.

The Cup tie thing in the 70s is correct. At the time Terry Venables was Palace manager and Alan Mullery was Brighton manager. Palace won a Cup tie 1-0, tensions were "running high" anyway and Mullery had an altercation with some of the Palace fans, he claimed one of them threw coffee over him - and then he made a few unwelcome gestures towards them - in the end Mullery got some coins out of his pocket, threw them towards the fans and apparently shouted "That's all you're worth Palace". And that's how the rivalry started.

Amazing really.

This rivalry table is garbage - Liverpool don't hate Everton at all - they hate Man United and Leeds. Everton are like us, nobody really hates them. Chelsea/Tottenham - no love lost there. Spurs/Arsenal.....there's a hatred there but not as bad as West Ham/Millwall or Newcastle/Sunderland.

I remember going to the Baseball ground in the 80s when City drew Burton Albion in the FA Cup - Derby fans turned out in force in the away end and carnage ensued - there was trouble inside and outside the ground - on the terracing there must have been around £100 in 10p pieces that had been thrown at us by the Derby (Burton) faithful. All sharpened as well, which was nice. From memory, we wont that game 6-2, but it had to be replayed behind closed doors at Filbert Street - and I think we won that 1-0......I hate Derby....mainly because of that !

Honestly, I used to hate the fact we didn't have "proper" rivals but now I'm not arsed.

Imagine your first objective for the season wanting to just finish above your rivals lol

Our rivals are too incompetent to get into the Premier League.

It’s been so long I can’t even get the energy to hate Forest anymore.

It would be like hating a child.
