Next game you’re at where Tielemans is playing, count how many times the ball goes through him.

So many don’t realise just how often he’s the reason the ball gets from the side to side stuff at the back through to the frontline or how many times he assists the person who assists the goal. Add in his mentality, the “coach on the pitch” stuff, his ability to score goals (including screamers from nothing).

His loss will be felt as much as anyone we’ve ever lost because we don’t have the money to buy that kind of quality again.

I am not disputing his quality, it is beyond question. He cannot be in the same bracket as those two due to their longevity and omnipresence on the journey. Will we miss him, sure, like a hell of a lot. It’s too early to say we cannot replace him/mitigate his leaving though.

I agree but let's remember we often have a knack of selling huge players and somehow replacing them.

Maguire - Fofana / Soyuncu

Kante - Ndidi

Chilwell - Justin

I agree with this, but think it's been a big problem for us this season. We've got results according to his performance and we're quite reliant on him these days.

Look at Man City and they don't rely on one midfielder to contribute. They have Bernardo, De Bruyne, Gundagon, Foden, etc.., all able to do this sort of role. Think we need Maddison or another midfielder to become less predictable as teams know if they mark Tielemans out the game, then our passing game is severly hampered.

He has been quoted in an interview on twitter saying he wants to leave Leicester before the end of his career to play elsewhere, and wants to play CL football again…

I will miss him hugely, the very minor weaknesses are far outweighed by his elite shot stopping and the way he has conducted himself at this club and made it his own. He's been a linchpin in our success and will be a monumental loss when he goes. His character is untouchable.

Even with his weaknesses he's still up there with the Best in the world. Take Alisson; he's made so many more big mistakes than Kasper in the last 18 months yet is lauded as a much better keeper, why? Even somebody like Lloris (who I'd argue is the best shot stopper in the world) has always made big mistakes and still seen as a better keeper.

As you say Ric, it's his influence that will be irreplaceable for us so we need to find something from somewhere else. Not necessarily my favourite player but probably my favourite person in football. Class act.

I'm reading that as he'll most likely play for another club before he retires and will most likely see out his contract here. He could go on and play in a league where its easier to qualify for the UCL for a season then retire. Some on twitter are shouting he wants to leave the club now

I wouldn't read too much into it. He can downgrade on us when he is 37/38 and still play Champions League football for someone like Malmo.

Strikes me that he'd like to play for Copenhagen

Yeah I’d say so.

Actually starting to hit home now that we are going to lose some big characters and iconic players soon.

Schmeichel not being our goalkeeper is unthinkable.

The danish media always fishes for him to say something about moving on to a bigger club. They are obsessed with it for some reason.

According to the Wales GK coach, or former if he’s left(?), Danny Ward is in the same class…

He has been here for 11 seasons and has played 437 games. Not surprising, he may want a new challenge and try something new.

The PL is relentless. Going to a minor league, he can probably extend his career until he's 40 and choose a club that guarantees European football.

It will be a very sad day when Kasper is no longer our number 1 and Vardy is no longer our number 9.

When fans think of clubs like Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, et al they think of their iconic players. For the first time in my lifetime, we have that.

They are both synonymous with Leicester City, modern-day icons.
