12 months left in the summer. Not fussed if he goes I think losing Maddison on current form would be a bigger blow but ,maybe he is next to go, and has been said it's a situation we will always face unfortunately.

It all depends on where Tielemans goes, he can go anywhere except Arsenal or Spurs, that I can live with. (Prefer he goes to Man City, 2nd choice would be Chelsea)

I like Maddison, I really do, but that is one for the unpopular opinion's thread my friend!

For our very best players, if Man City or Chelsea came knocking our players would be off regardless of our champions league pull.

That's true , Man.City, Chelsea and Liverpool are still a class above us even though we can and do beat them. Arsenal, Spurs and maybe even Man.Utd. certainly aren't.

I think youri would be good fit at arsenal.

Liverpool are an unpleasant bunch.

But will he go ? At LCFC he the first name on the team sheet, but it does not always the case with the big boys e.g. Marez, Chillwell, Drinkwater ? The grass is not always greener on the other side.

Yes he’ll go and soon it will be time for the club to say sign the contract or we’re selling you to the highest bidder.

And the highest bidder might not be the club he wants

Well Mahrez has won 2 Premier League titles, 1 FA Cup, 3 EFL cups and a community shield at Man City

Chilwell has a UCL medal at Chelsea

Granted that all Drinkwater got for his troubles was an inflated bank balance.

The only thing that will stop YT from going is if the right offer doesn’t materialise. I’d say if Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, Man United or one of the big foreign clubs come in - he’s off!

He might have a decision to make if the only offer is Arsenal. Much bigger club than us, but have been treading water for a while now. I think they’d need CL football, although that didn’t put Kante off Chelsea

I would like to think there is a very transparent relationship between the club and Youri's camp tbh, so ultimatum's are likely not required.

Also important to not forget that Youri has done the big club thing already (Well, at the time Monaco were) and it backfired catastrophically, so he will be very careful, I imagine.

They’ll definitely be an ultimatum at some point and summer at the latest I’d say because otherwise the club can’t plan for the future, they need to know what’s happening. We can’t keep holding on for one player to make his mind up.

I believe that time has already come.

He’s a player I back to make the move for footballing reasons rather than financial gain! He’s switched on with it. We won’t be cursing where he moves to next I reckon!

I Think he may run his contract down and we get nothing. Can't force him to sign for the highest bidder if he don't fancy the move to that particular club and if his contracts up then he will get a mega wage deal and signing on fee.

Still ....at least we get to see another year of him in a Leicester shirt.

So many more players are doing this these days and its well within their rights and to be honest why wouldnt you?

you make the money rather than the club you play for. You have honoured your side of the deal and then you make mega money on top of your new wage.

Looks like Pogba is going to do the same.

I think the level of clubs after him this summer will see him move. The respect he has with those at our club will see him go for a decent fee but not huge.

It's wishful thinking of those saying he will sign a new deal.

And I'm worried that there's not as much interest as we're led to believe, with most of the links being agent talk.

Like the talk of Liverpool for the last 2 seasons, when it's obvious he doesn't have the legs for Liverpool's midfield.

If Youri is patient and he is only 24, he could see his contract out with us and then be extremely attractive to a lot of clubs and command a very high wage and signing on fee. He would probably gain quite a few million that way. We get the benefit of another year of his top class play which should give us a strong chance of top six in the table.

So that would then fuel the sign a new deal wouldn't it?
I know he's a footballer but he seems to be 1 of the bright 1s & surely he'll say i'm not going to any old club & if 1 of my preferred clubs doesn't come in then i'll resign where i am...its back on :chant:
