Genuinely though who do you think could come in and do you think in three seasons they can emulate two top 5 places and two trophies and two semi finals? I'm not arguing I'm just curious. I'm not happy with that display or most of this season, but surely he has earned next season at least? Btw Potter at Brighton would be my choice if that were to happen.

I’ve backed him when others have battered him. It’s just the style of football we watch, it’s awful.

I don’t know the answer, however I don’t think we’ll sack him. Should he want a move to Spurs, when Conte goes to PSG, I don’t think we’d stand in the way though.

Was that the dress rehearsal for the match? They must get back on the plane and ask themselves if they really gave it their best shot tonight. We know they didn't.

A couple of things:

- Can’t blame Rodgers for team selection. At least he tried, but Barnes, Lookman and Vardy are not the right combination. Each one of them too far from one another and too isolated. Much better since Nacho came on but Perez should have come on much earlier as I mentioned before.

- The ref must be investigated. I don’t normally blame the ref but tonight is blatant. So many fouls against us not given but given to the other side. A number of clear corners and throw ins not given to us. He must not ref another European game.

- Jose got his tactics right against Vardy. He did not have a sniff as predicted. I wanted Nacho on.

- Seasons’ over. I will sign off now, disappointed. I may not come back for a few months.

Surely that's a contradiction. If they are the wrong combination that's down to the manager who selected it.

Corruption at the highest Level wonder how big the UEFA brown Envelope was for buying the Ref tonight was so biased it was laughable Maureen was In The fourth officials ear all night his players were laughing and joking with the ref asking for everything then Little Wes was grappled to the ground by Smalling infront of the ref VAR didnt even look at it Roma certainly cheated their way to a final, BR has to also take the blame for getting things wrong tonight played the wrong formation wrong team most of the the players other than Madders we’re dreadful we’re poor on the ball had no fight god only knows why he fails to play DAKA who has so much European experience the lad is a quality player he just needs regular football !!

Brendan now needs to see out the PL season try and finish as high as we can get rid of the deadwood rebuild in the summer and hopefully stop this Jekyll & Hyde performances were fished out with on a regular basis !

Whatever happened to Foxes Never Quit ?

Not good enough, just had no idea how to break them down. But that is also credit to Roma, what you’d expect from a Mourinho team but incredible defensively and a lesson for some of our lot what being a winner really is - too many fannys in our team

Of course people on this place won’t be capable of giving the opposition credit.

I can give them credit but I can also be ****ing raging we haven’t created ONE decent chance in 90 minutes in a European cup semi final.

I thought Abraham was absolutely outstanding....and to think Smalling is behind Conor Coady and Tyrone Mings in the English pecking order. Hard to compute.

Their Polish left bàck was excellent. Not good on names but the Andy Carroll lookalike and Pelligrinii were  both excellent too. We lost to a strong, streetwise team coached by one of the best in the business.

I thought  Tielemans put in a very disciplined performance in the 'mendy' role. Which brings me to my bugbear....the omission of Mendy from the squad. I've said since January it'd cost us and it has. We all knew it. An horrendous, almighty howler.

Are we in meltdown mode already with multiple calls for Rodgers out?

Personally I saw that as Mourinho 1, Brendan nil

We knew if they scored EXACTLY what Roma would do… and they did it

We had neither the tactical ability or firepower to break them down. I’m afraid the old tutor got it spot on

As for the fookin ref…. How on earth can we respect referees when we see shit like that?

Remind me who is in charge of our tactics again? I’m not even calling for Rodgers to go but can give he criticism when he deserves it

Evans and Amartey was Roma’s time wasting machines! Evans, for a guy with a wealth of experience showed very little urgency even after 85mins!

For me, the biggest issue here is youri.

I love the guy but he's been way out of sorts all season. Tonight he did ok but when was the last time he produced a pass that made you go wow? Previously his range of passing was incredible, his vision the best I'd seen in city blue. But I can't remember the last time I felt like that player was there, and not just playing it safe back and fore.

I know what you mean, he doesn't feel like the same player at the moment. I love the guy too, and it's so disheartening seeing his career with us just peter out like this.

I hope it is just a case of needing to replace him and bring a creative Right Winger in over the summer...but I'm just not sure how that changes our slow and sloppy play.

Frustrating. Of course we didn't play great, but equally we create so many of our chances by winning the ball back high up that pitch, and that's impossible if the ref blows every time you challenge for the ball.

It's time for a/to change now, for the club - we're petering out this season in a manner that simply isn't acceptable.  If all BR can offer is the same thing 'but better' rather then the change we need, then his position needs to change too, even if we need to be careful what we wish for :P

Our last 5 matches of the season are meaningless for the first time in like 8 years (if you forget about old Claude Puel)

I feel we gave them too much respect some bad refereeing decisions but on the whole not too disappointed, if you said we'd be in semi final of a major European tournament 10 years ago people would have laughed at you.

A disappointing result but a step in the right direction and some thing to build on. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise, next season we can focus on the Premier league and getting European football through that route.

Me too, I still back him, I am not enamoured with him right now, but I do think on the whole he has done a good job. This season apart from the cup run has been poor. Of the players fit all season it's only KDH and Maddison really who can say they've had a good season. The worrying thing is going forwards, Vardy may be on the decline, Barnes has largely been shocking, we have no decent RW, and defensively, we cannot stop conceding set piece goals whoever plays. A lot to do in the summer.
