I'm surprised that anyone is surprised by that capitulation.  It's Rodgers all over,  has happened many times before and will continue to happen as long as he is still here. A tactical midget.

 

We all better get used to it again as it's not like we can afford to pay him off.

The home game against Southampton is already looking like a vital match as we will get nothing against either Arsenal or Chelsea.

Give us any other manager within reason and we’d have won that game. 
 

Rodgers cost us that game, yes Amartey and Fofana made mistakes, but we should never have been in that position.

You know what, I’m passionate about LCFC. I’ve lived and breathed it since childhood. Followed them all over the country. Seen incredible highs now and felt the insane lows. Usually a result like this would gut me, but it just doesn’t. It’s so damn predictable. It’s so damned obvious. The errors and oversights are always the same. I just feel meh. Shrug my shoulders. Most of us know what the problem is, but we’re stuck with it until the owners wise up, and they might not because they cannot afford to.

I gave up looking for a stream for this one. Every link wanted me to pay a small amount for membership (£1-4) none of them had the option for PayPal, credit card only...not happening.

We needed players to see out a game when our energy was wilting, not to try to break Brentford down.

 

For all their lack of creativity, Albrighton and Perez were 2 of the best pressers in the league last season and are perfect players to bring on when we're clearly flagging with 25mins to go, if there's one thing neither player lacks it's energy and the ability to press and inject some impetus back into the team again.

We have 5 subs now, they don't all have to be attacking players who are brought on to create or score a goal. Even if we don't have a great attacking bench, there's plenty of options there for players who are good at helping us see out a game.

Ndidi and Amartey were absolutely awful… Rodgers however was the worst without question. He seriously lost us that game from a great position

Perez for Madders with 15 minutes to go is a substitution that SHOULD be considered every time you’re trying to see a game out.

 

I can’t think of anything positive from Rodgers today - potentially the initial pressing but that gets undone when then turn into that passive shit show.

I love coming on here after a result like that.  The substitution and non sub-substitutions were baffling that’s for sure.

From coasting to hanging on for a point is a really shocking state of affairs. We simply must stop losing points from winning positions.  

 

There is so much wrong at the moment and those entrusted with running the football operations side of things, need to give their heads a wobble and start earning their corn.  Whoever oversaw and agreed some of the signings last summer, need to be tarred and feathered and then let go.

No, You didn't underestimate us, we played so badly it was embarrassing at times because we can play better than we did, and are very well pleased with a point that we never looked like getting, The real winner was Thomas Frank who used our 5 subs very well and it paid off, Your loser was Brendan Rodgers who only made 1 sub when you were tiring badly, that was a very big elementary mistake, What on earth was going through his mind, we won't get an easer point from being 2 down, still a long way to go!!!

How is it that a team 2-0 and comdfortably cruising can suddenly become a shadow of itself? 

 

I don't think it can come down to one substitution but a collective mentality.  When teams come at us we retreat and we fold.
