Hope you filthy animals had a good christmas! 

 

After a lovely sportswashed world cup and maddy scoring the winner for england in the final… can we beat the sportswashing raccoons. 

 

Foxes 3 - Shearers head cutters 0 

 

(just wanted to start my first ever match thread)

Everyone knew it was coming with their new investment but, I must admit, the speed of their turnaround has really surprised me. I think Eddie Howe is doing an outstanding job with them. 
 

I do think they’ll start to falter at some point though and that ultimately they’ll finish somewhere around 6th-9th. I hope their decline starts with us and our rise continues, but there is no telling what will happen after the World Cup. Momentum is broken and that’s a good thing for the teams out of form, but bad for teams like Newcastle and us.

As it's Xmas, can we just have a trophy parade of everything we've won since Newcastle last won something?

 

Multiple league titles, including the biggie, 2 League Cups, 2 Community Shields, an FA Cup and the moral high ground lol

How on earth he's got that starting XI of players to 3rd in the table is just astonishing.

As we found getting there is the easy part, staying there is the hard bit.

Too true, but their form for the majority of 2022 has been incredible. I hope this break stunts them and we beat them as their fans arealready becoming somewhat insufferable.

We’re basically playing two mini seasons with the break. 
 

I’m assuming we’ll have a few friendlies against teams lined up before this.

Incredible management tho.

Behave.  None of their players are garbage, they were mismanaged before.  Sprinkle that with 4 or 5 really good players and they are decent.  Also what they do have at the minute under Howe is a willingness to give 110% for every game without question.  That goes a long way and can win you things (we should know).

 

They wont win it however, because the stars arent aligned in the same way as it was for us (all the big 6 pretty much off it for an entire season.)  But I wouldnt be surprised to see them finish 3rd or 4th.  Fair play to them if they do.  Just for the fans mind, not for the owners.  That part of it all is dispicable.
