Totally agree ... time for a change ... but let's be totally honest ... are the players giving anywhere near average effort for the club or the fans .... or are they just not premier league quality

the suggestions coming out, is laughable. best to keep Rodgers and make sure the players show up for games.

Yes, we definitely need to make sure the players turn up for our matches. If only we could sort it out so the players were properly motivated, organised and well trained to execute some kind of game plan to win matches. Perhaps we should hire somebody to perform this role, of coaching and managing our footballers. A football manager, perhaps. Then one they are doing this role, then that will mean Brendan can more effectively perform his role of ...oh.

He'd only managed one premier league club about 11 years before. Pretty big stretch to include him in the premier league merry go round

I just seen merry go round though not premier league merry go round he'd had quite a few different teams.

At this point you'd have to be brave or desperate to come here. In the summer we should have more options but may be too late.

Agree, I hope we stay up with BR then get someone else in.

But it's risky to do this because he could easily take us down.

I disagree. Anyone who backs themselves even a little bit would absolutley jump at it. Anyone who doesn't think they can get this squad to play better than they currently are doesn't belong in football management.

Well they weren't cut adrift when he took over them. He wasnt improving their chances of staying up, that's why they sacked him.  I'm not sure what was so good about his work at Watford to be honest. Anyway whatever, there isn't any way he will be coming back here in a working capacity.

They were bottom after 15 games, with hardly any points and about one win. Pretty sure they were at least 7 points from safety. When he left they were 3 points out of the relegation zone, so not sure you can say he hadn't improved their chances of safety, that's literally what he did.

No chance he gets them up. They havent even improved since hes been there. They are championship mid table at best.

We have improved. The whole club has improved and is continuing to improve.

You won't get that from looking at the league table though...

Maybe not as manager but bringing Martin O'neill back as a director of football or advisor could be interesting, With an upcoming manager at the elm. Think having MON around may just give the fans something to get excited about.

James Milner may have promising future in management. Knows MON already. Though comes with a gamble.

I’m so confused by this suggestion. Is it being serious?

I'd quite like Iraola from Vallecano. But don't see us being attractive enough any more

same with the shouts of managers from lesser leagues but about to win a title (Jaissle, Slot) why would they give up a trophy and CL for us at the moment?

Hopefully not.

The world has changed since O’Neill was our Manager. He left in 2000, so half the fan base don’t even relate to him.

Tactically, analytically and operationally the game has changed. I’m not sure what value he’d add to us.

Massive gamble but honestly would take Will Still at this point. He'd definitely come as well. There's nothing he could do worse than this tosser.

He might want it to be but a half decent prem club swings his way with an offer when he's been out of work for a year and he's not dismissing it is he.

He's literally won the CL like two seasons ago. He is not worried about work, he is the type who can pick who he works for.

Not accounting for the players who are clearly not going to get a game under Rodgers, with Soyuncu being the only one i would say should be, then i would say in my opinion that most of the current players are not premier league quality.  Ward is not even championship level, starting to have my doubts about Faes, jury still out on Soutter, Thomas needs a championship loan to give him a chance of ever finding the higher level, Soumare not premier league level, KDH probably high end championship level, Vardy sadly looking like its a season too far for him, Daka probably championship level, Nacho probably a good premier league sub, as shown for us and Man City. Giving the benefit of the doubt to Barnes, Castagne, Justin and the hopefully getting back to his standard Ricardo. The only top quality Premier league players we have, are Tielemans when he's on his game and Maddison.  If we stay up, then the recruitment in the summer is crucial, especially with the likely loss of Tielemans and Maddison.

It’ll have to be someone, that doesn’t have a language barrier with the squad.

That actually rules out quite a few people.

They will need to speak English, as most of the squad can.

Pearson.

Or launch a bid for Cooper and pay him whatever he wants. Not sure he’d want to make a sideways move though.

Why on earth would you want Pearson back here? lol:frusty:

Can't see Cooper leaving Forest for us. Probably be quite costly for us, too.
