Olise and Zaha have left so perhaps they want to keep him.

Olise deal in the balance as Palace accusing Chelsea of tapping up.

Surely makes more sense to use the funds from those sales to buy replacements who can play now at PL level and slowly develop this kid. Huge step up from Charlton to PL.

This, Palace might be in a bit of a pickle without Zaha/Olise. Not sure they’ll want a kid who’s only played in League One to be their main man behind Eze. They’ll defo sign a more experienced replacements and then his opportunities will be limited and he’ll want a loan.

This is where all the looneys will hang out now the casadei rumour thread is closed - expect this to double in size the next few days with random overreactions and bullshit.

Surely if Palace bring in a big fee for Olise they will spend it, not promote a kid who is far from ready for the Prem.

But they will probably not want to lose him either when they're short in that area.

Think this is still likely, but may happen on deadline day. Like others have said, Palace will invest from the Olise sale (if it happens) and will then be keen for Rak-Sakyi to continue his learning at a level higher than last year, similar to what we did with KDH to Blackpool then Luton. If we get Akgun in soon, this takes a little of the pressure off to complete this deal asap.

You mean apart from the other winger? The other no.8, the versatile forward and the CB?

if so I agree!

From a first 11 point of view RW is our weak area.

But your right from a squad point of view.

Jordan Ayew is a right winger for Palace so even if they sell Olise they still have him

Probably see the Turkish lad come in first and then Rak-Sakyi later on when Palace sign another right winger

...Rak-Sakyi and his agent might start to look elsewhere for pretty much guaranteed play time!!!

....and people moan we can only focus on one deal at a time, we must be seen to have options so as not to be hogtied waiting on only one possible outcome

Good on Olise, either securing Palace a much better transfer fee or doesn't fancy sitting on Chelsea's bench for majority of the season. Now let's get Rak Sakyi

...were we not waiting until they brought in another RW before the Olise talks about him leaving happened!!!

I still think they need to bring someone else in before this is going to be a possibility.

Not entirely no, Franca came in as well as still having Jordan Ayew, and with Olise staying Rak Sakyi won't see much of a look in I'd say. Played for U21s midweek and was an unused sub prior vs Sheffield United. Shouldn't be much in the way at this point

Chelsea are apparently trying to get Brennan Johnson after Olise rejected them…

Johnson is decent, but a big downgrade on Olise, and never a Champions league standard player.  Chelsea transfer policy since they were took over, is massively scattergun!
