Winks was unreal tonight; he and KDH had all the time in the world. Whatever you think of either, they find pockets and they know where the space is when they receive the ball.

 

I never took much notice of him at Spurs, but he's been brilliant with us. Love that he demands the ball sometimes.

I don't think so, he's well paid here, a hugely important player and looks like he's loving his football. Must be a super project to be involved in.

 

Would you swap that for 8 appearances off the bench to chase the ball and see out a 1-1 at Fulham (as an example?)

It’s borderline unfair that Winks is playing in the Championship. Completing all 81/81 passes in a hugely competitive league such as this outrageous. He’s every bit of that Real Madrid performance from a few years back.

He must be loving it, he’s being asked to play exactly to his skill set. Very much a square peg in a square hole! Can see exactly why we signed him, whether he was an Enzo signing or the scouting team someone deserves some credit. Either way it’s encouraging it feels a bit more joined up.
