Popular Post don_danbury Posted 11 August 2023 Popular Post Posted 11 August 2023 wouldnt mind this if we got someone else in. dont rate him at all 1 7
l444ry Posted 12 August 2023 Posted 12 August 2023 Thought he was alright when we first signed him but he's looked like a timebomb waiting to go off every game. Never strikes me as ever being composed. Certainly not Premier League class on what he's shown so far. If the club can get him out the door and recoup most of his transfer fee then that would be a bonus. 1
Popular Post Batfink77 Posted 12 August 2023 Popular Post Posted 12 August 2023 I've thought he looks awesome and dominated at this level. Desperately hope he stays. Really can't get my head around those who think he's been rubbish. Hey ho. 16
Popular Post Fox85 Posted 12 August 2023 Popular Post Posted 12 August 2023 (edited) He's miles ahead of our current CBs. Him and coady is going to be class. Looking like the best CB in the championship at the moment Edited 12 August 2023 by Fox85 11
whoareyaaa Posted 12 August 2023 Posted 12 August 2023 Like Nacho I don't think the club will sell even if offers come in, they will be key to helping us get back up and that's worth more than what we would receive in transfer fees 4
Chrysalis Posted 13 August 2023 Posted 13 August 2023 We need to keep our best remaining players and faes is one of them, I know its tough on the board, and I dont support more pay day loans, so if the finances cant get the players in we need without selling players like faes then its hand in pocket time for top with a directors loan or share injection. There seems to be a real problem with the ability to offload unfancied players from our squad, other clubs manage it, so there is something our end that prevents this. It needs to be done with an approach where we are willing to accept losses, the priority being just to get them off the wage bill and the squad list, cutting losses so to speak. 1

As with Perez ,our players pay makes them as surplus players impossible to transfer unless we accept very little fee because contracted players are not going to make any sacrifice. The Thais hate that so the only other option is to try and loan them out but then we have to subsidise their pay as with Hamza , Praet etc. We will end up with most of them running their contracts down. This is entirely our fault , don't blame the players. They are professionals not a charity. 2
Popular Post FoxinNotts Posted 13 August 2023 Popular Post Posted 13 August 2023 (edited) It’s obviously a right laugh to slag off a player, when they play shite, but Wout was a colossus yesterday. Long may it continue in a city shirt👏🏻 Edited 13 August 2023 by FoxinNotts 16
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 13 August 2023 Posted 13 August 2023 With Coady’s organisation, I genuinely feel the back 3 could become a unit. 1
Popular Post Number 6 Posted 13 August 2023 Popular Post Posted 13 August 2023 Long contract, fits the style, good for this level. Selling him would just make what little time we have left in the transfer window much more difficult. Wouldn't make sense. 13
talking_goldfish Posted 14 August 2023 Posted 14 August 2023 Apparently Galatasaray really want Wout Faes and want to offer us a player who is clearly not a defender in return. Apparently. https://insidefutbol.com/2023/08/14/club-going-back-to-leicester-city-with-new-offer-after-first-proposal-for-foxes-star-rejected/615409/ Quote Galatasaray are credited with an interest in Faes and they have already witnessed a loan approach for the centre-back rejected by the Foxes. But the Istanbul outfit have yet to give up on a potential deal for the Belgian and they have revised their offer as a player plus cash deal for the defender, according to Turkish daily Sabah (via broadcaster Aspor). The player whom Galatasaray want to include in a potential deal for Faes is said to be Turkey international Yunus Akgun. The Turkish giants are also willing to pay €5m to Leicester besides offering Akgun to the Championship side.

Its the Turkish league, that would probably be a record transfer for them. Just need an Italian team to come in with a loan with an option to buy that they arent prepared to pay now Edited 14 August 2023 by South Shire Fox 1
