Muzzy_no7 Posted 4 May 2024 Posted 4 May 2024 Losing 7, 8 or 9 would’ve been silly but to lose 11 really has cheesed me off. So many managers have got the better of him this season. He deserves till mid- November in the EPL to prove he’s capable. 2
l444ry Posted 4 May 2024 Posted 4 May 2024 Just now, Unabomber said: What about saints away early doors for example Think I'm not making myself clear. We were superb first half of the season. Peak Enzo. But when we got into a bad run he appeared (to me) to lose his way. Same players, same tactics, same everything. Lose to Plymouth, Bristol City, Millwall etc. and it looked like the wheels were coming off. Along comes Vardy's Meeting and nine points garnered. Could be coincidence or could be something was taken on board by the players that Enzo wasn't giving them? Possession stats dropped but we reversed the decline. Just my observation. 4
don_danbury Posted 4 May 2024 Posted 4 May 2024 how many clubs have been promoted as champions with 11 losses? i think fulham were close a few years ago

Popular Post Ricey Posted 4 May 2024 Popular Post Posted 4 May 2024 I did think that a parting of ways was probably sensible in the summer, but hearing that he’s trying to get the club to restructure has potentially changed my mind. I’m still not convinced that his style will work in the PL, but if he now has enough sway to wrestle some control away from Rudkin then it will be a hugely positive thing for the club. 5
Popular Post The Doctor Posted 4 May 2024 Popular Post Posted 4 May 2024 If he manages to get rudkin out of this club I'm naming my firstborn after him. 3 2
Popular Post Dahnsouff Posted 4 May 2024 Popular Post Posted 4 May 2024 (edited) Why bother cherry picking a stat so you can stay entrenched to your original position? He got us promoted after an extremely toxic season last year. He is making a move to restructure what he feels is wrong, which people have been calling for, for absolutely ages. You can guess his style won’t work, and I dare say with this personnel with this style it wouldn’t, but even if he get an absolute stiffing, if he can elicit serious change, the.back the man I say. Also, it highlights how pointless draws are. We've had 4. Now on the face of it you'd think we'd lost the 11 trying to go all out for the win, I don't think we were though. 3
Popular Post FOXSE Posted 4 May 2024 Popular Post Posted 4 May 2024 (edited) If you have been mainly unhappy this season, rather than mainly very happy (we won 31 league games), then you are going to spend nearly the entirety of your time as a football fan, whatever team you supported, pretty unhappy. Edited 4 May 2024 by FOXSE 7
coolhandfox Posted 4 May 2024 Posted 4 May 2024 We have won 3 more games then any other team in the division. Enzo has match the same amount of wins as Pearson league winners.
Popular Post Ric Flair Posted 4 May 2024 Popular Post Posted 4 May 2024 I've enjoyed the football, I've not enjoyed a lot of his principles and I don't think I ever will unless he changes. Not arsed if he goes, not arsed if he stays. 6
Corky Posted 4 May 2024 Posted 4 May 2024 I don't think getting to 110 points changes anything for next season, this squad is significantly weaker than the one that went down and we have restrictions and points deductions on the way to add to the difficulties. If Enzo keeps us up it will be a phenomenal job. I don't think he or anyone else does though. The mistakes of the past and poor running will hit soon.

Yeh, think the chants we heard about Rudkin are going to get louder and louder as we head into next season as the anger about the mismanagement grows in line with the impact it has on us.

Not arsed if he goes, not arsed if he stays. This is it for me. I don’t expect anyone to understand it and I completely appreciate anyone who wants to criticise me for it. But if we have the parade tomorrow and Monday get a tweet that Leicester City have parted company with Enzo Maresca, I’d probably shrug and say ok, cool. If I’m trying to make sense of why I’m feeling like that, I can say I think Enzo has a lot of good qualities. But also think there are issues and perhaps both parties are not suited. One of those issues is his lack of basic professionalism. 3/4 times this season, happily criticising board, fans etc. in some cases, absolutely warranted but we’ve had a manager before who was happy to wash his laundry in public and belittle/criticise the club in public and it ended in tears for us. A few grumbles, fine, all managers do it but it’s at risk of being consistent and that’s not on for me. I also think we cannot fund his dream and it’s unfair on both parties to pretend we can. That’s another recipe for disaster. Enzo has done a good job this year. The most impressive is getting us out of the rut at the end. Well done. However, this isn’t O’Neil/Pearson fears if he goes. Well not for me. Edited 4 May 2024 by Mickyblueeyes 8

ARM1968 Posted 4 May 2024 Posted 4 May 2024 I think, if Enzo has any intelligence at all, he jumps ship before the start of next season. Some have mentioned Saville could be an option. His stock won’t get any higher with us and he now knows our financial position.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 4 May 2024 Posted 4 May 2024 Not sure how much to read into his comments at the end, when asked about preparing for next season he said something like “now we enjoy the moment and lets see…”

BrummieFOX Posted 4 May 2024 Posted 4 May 2024 I want him to stay purely because he has more vision and focus than any other decision maker at the club. I actually quite like the football, but even if you don't, at the very least, he has a plan. 3
