Glad we didn't have another 30 mins. Players look knackered. They've looked leggy for a few weeks and extra time would have been a bit of a disaster.

I thought we gave a really good account of ourselves, yeah we rode our luck at times but we gave them a hell of a fright and the red card really made it difficult for us. Remember they have spent the best part of a billion quid on assembling a squad. 
 

not sure there needs to be any bed wetting, if we can take that 2nd half into the remainder of the season then I think we will be ok.

if Sterling wasn’t so poor probably could have been game over at half time. Kdh had a good game good goal by mavadidi just doesn’t help when we take one of the wingers off as we don’t have anyone nearly as good to replace them. Use the break to get everyone fit and ready to fire for the last 9 games and get promoted.

Really?????? We are a championship team where the gulf between the two divisions is huge. We can hold our heads high as the team gave it their all. The red card killed us but we were not disgraced, they got 2 in injury time including a worldie. The style Enzo wants us to play will give us a better chance of staying up than our rivals.

It's been said multiple times but I'm so glad for the international break, came at the best time for us

Soft goals to concede and some soft reffing, not sure the ref gave us anything 50-50 and they fired into challenges a couple of times. Ultimately our defence is slow and Chelsea are oh so wasteful but not to rest step up and go again

Obviously helped by the own goal but the lads did well to get it back to 2-2

 

Unfortunately it was only ever going to go one way once we went down to 10 men, and as I said in the match thread it was probably best that we went out in the 90 as extra time would've been a long struggle for us

 

They may not be doing that well this season but lets not act like that still isn't a billion pound squad that Chelsea were using and was effectively their first choice team

 

KDH and Jakub were great today, good to get a decent amount of minutes for Ndidi as well

 

Nearly 2 weeks off for most of the lads now before Bristol City!

Not a surprise to lose it at the end - 10 men, and we can’t ever hang on under pressure. 
 

Didn’t think we played badly, but I am sick to death of chaotic defending. We never ever look comfortable defensively. 
 

All in All, back to the most important thing… bottling top 2 🤣

Really pleased with a lot of what we saw today - a lot of guts, a lot of effort and some nice football.

 

First goals were sloppy defensively, but the sort of goals that will happen playing a high press against a superior team.

 

Needless to say, the ref turned the game with the red card on a foul that was softer than ten or fifteen challenges on our players that weren't given.

 

But that performance should give them a real boost - great for mavididi.  Thought KDH and Winks were back to their best and never gave up; good show from Fatawu but his final ball was gash.  I thought Doyle was really good going forward and defensively, can't understand how justin is keeping him out of the team, his error and inability to recover leading to the final goal.  Stolly was terrific as well.
