5waller5 Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 I’ve really rated him this season, but we have to trade players at a year left on their contract, and to refresh the squad 1
Jobyfox Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 The problem with all of these links is that it’s not who we’re selling, but who we’re not buying!! 2
honeybradger Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 He's our best centre mid but that's a very low bar. We cant lose him on a free and we need to get his wages off the books. Selling him and prioritising a new centre mid over any other position should be the priority. On a side note imagine if he ends up playing for AC Milan, from Gattuso, Seedorf and Pirlo to Soumare. What an obscene drop off. 2

Quite comfortably our best centre midfielder You can only be basing that on one (not IMO) half decent game on Friday. He has two assists in his entire time here, that's it. He's got no other numbers that are even worth talking about. He's been utter garbage for the last 3 seasons, quite possibly one of our worst ever signings pound for pound, and certainly in the top 3 laziest. The idea of this guy pulling on the same shirt as an Ambrosini, Seedorf or Donadoni 😁 1 1
RowlattsFox Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 As long as there is a replacement, fine. It shouldn't be that difficult to get an improvement.
Mike Oxlong Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 Can't quite believe I may never see him in a Leicester shirt again
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 Can we afford to lose him? Though I appreciate the past and his big contract and so on
sdb Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 I like him. Appreciate we'd surely sell for a decent fee but if we don't replace him...??! Season over. I'd love to think we've loads of deals lined up in case of any outgoings, but I highly doubt it.

FoxesWalk Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 (edited) Didn’t realise he was only one year left.. it’s a begrudging sell in that case if it’s a decent fee, he’s our best mid by a distance. Going to need to seriously nail all our signings given the quality of player we are selling/have already sold. I have little faith in us nailing the majority of any new signings, given our track record and lack of time to do it. We need every midfield signing to be shit hot to stand any chance really, and we need 2 or 3. I doubt we’ll make enough signings of sufficient quality myself, but let’s see what Rudkin is made of…. The amount of change we are looking at very likely means at least one more season down here, regardless of any deduction. Chances of us making lots of good signings and it all gelling, and them all adapting to the league quickly seems slim at best. Edited 31 August 2025 by FoxesWalk
moore_94 Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 May have improved in the last 2 games but it is a lot more likely with him that he will return to his performances of previous rather than keep it going Sell 3
whoareyaaa Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 24 hours left doubt we would be able to replace him and BEK 3

A couple of decent performances doesn’t mask the fact he has been doggo overall, it’s a no brainer to get rid. Definitely need a couple of centre mids in though. 1

Guest Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 Another one on the "selling makes complete sense as long as we're able to get a replacement in" pile and I fear time is running out for us to do that 3
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 Sell on the proviso we can replace, 100%. 1 1

He’s down on TransferMarket as having 2 assists for us. Having checked YouTube on both, one was Barnes against Leeds, the other was Fatawu against Charlton the other week 😂
Tielemans63 Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 12 months left. Makes sense if we can get a decent fee. God knows we need some additions, though. Squad is paper-thin.
Groby_Blue Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 This thread needs to be re-named Stockholm Syndrome 1 1
LCFCJohn Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 With a year left and his long term pattern of not performing for us, despite improving performances under Marti, I would say sell. However, we can’t go through to January with Skipp and want away Winks (if he doesn’t go) as our only options. Feels like we have backed ourselves into a corner where we will need to take the hit on him leaving for free next summer.
