This will probably be a big issue for potential buyers. They've ran us into the ground, sooner they're out the better.

You’ve a short memory, we always sell our ST allocation, and just because a lot of people didn’t come last season due to the horrendous football and the board that is despised we’ve a massive fanbase , one club city with over a million people living in the county/ city

 

How many people who wanted to go to games couldn’t because the lack of tickets available when we was in the prem

 

We should be looking at a 42-45000 capacity

I think we can park this bus for years. No way we'll need a 42-45k stadium any time soon! We just won't have a squad to get to the premier League for a while. 

 

Anyway, one step at a time, we need to get out of this league first before expansion is even a thought.

In my opinion we don't survive under King Power, so any new owner can't be any worse than sticking with them as it's just a race against time to liquidation. The numbers don't compute.

Same applies back to 1992, and probably even further back to Everton's last league title.

So we still have roughly around £18m in transfer fee’s book value per year, add the £9.6m per year in interest fee’s, that’s £27.6m before you even consider player wages.

 

For context we’ve raised around £24.5m profit from player sales.

Paying roughly 200k a week just to service our debt in league one.... grim. So if Top doesn't put anymore in, that means soon as the cash dries up and we can't pay there will be EFL points deductions, potential relegation to L2 and administration. Better hope for a quick takeover by some white knight or we are absolutely cooked boys.

I looked at this and was horrified at it. However, I have no context or reference to measure this against. I don't know whether this sort of thing is just normal business as usual for premiership clubs. We know that there are often staged payments involved in transfers so its possible that although this looks dramatic, I suppose it might just be how football clubs operate.

I think admin is inevitable. Why spend X amount when you could wait out until the asset is a LOT cheaper. 

 

As a fan I literally hate being so pessimistic but the pattern of behaviour from KP only points one way. A very horrible bumpy ride.

It’s normal for clubs to pay for players in installments. It’s probably not so normal that the total amount due equates to 300% the average income of teams at your level. We are lucky we can sell players at the minute, but next season we won’t have that privilege.

I think if we're honest with ourselves, a lot of this is legacy-based due to the 15/16 season - the CIES Football Observatory puts us 7th due to our large social media following, but that doesn't mean much in our current situation. That Cape Verde goalkeeper is one of the most followed footballers on Instagram due to his showing at the World Cup but I don't think people will remember his name in 6 months, but they'll still be following him. I'm happy to be proven wrong by data, but doesn't feel like we are more popular than the likes of Villa or Newcastle for example at the minute. Maybe we're more of a recognised name globally because of what we did 10 years ago, but I don't think that translates into regular support of the club and global potential, but perhaps I'm wrong.

I'm quite a pessimist but I don't necessarily buy this line of thinking - yeah, you'd lay out a lot less cash initially, but then you'd have a club with basically no sellable assets in terms of players, and you'd lose a lot of what makes the club a prestige purchase in the first place - training ground probablu gets scrapped, academy loses Cat 1 status, then you have to invest a HELL of a lot of money into rebuilding a club from the ground up. If you're an investor who backs themselves, you probably see a club which is currently undervalued due to mismanagement and current league status, and you'd think "ok, this is a great chance to buy a club with potential, make some adjustments and potentially compete at the top end of the championship again, and perhaps the Premier League". The fact that we appear to be in talks with (hopefully) serious investors shows that there are people out there who would see us as a going concern at the right price. 

 

Long story short, if I was buying a motor, I'd rather buy something that needed a few repairs than a total write off.

Yeh, obviously less visible than when a player/manager leaves but there's been a complete talent drain from the club over the last 4/5 years or more really. Not saying there aren't talented staff left but why would you stick around. It's going to take a long long time to rebuild this club back to anything close to what it was.

When we are all successful Derby, Forest and Leicester are all simliar sized clubs, not matter how loud each of them shout to argue diffferently.

I only placed them above us when I made that list as they’re in the Premier League currently and will get more eyes on them.
