promised land Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 He said it was tough playing against twelve men and that the ref probably didn't like him as an ex-Boro player cos he was from Hartlepool (the ref) The ref shouldn't be in the job if he takes it that personal, he is a professional and shouldn't let ex players of rival clubs come into it. Makes sense why NP blanked him now then.
deep blue Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 What did he say to the black lad for Blackpool? Dunno what he said. The player was Isaiah Osbourne.
Danno Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 Dunno what he said. The player was Isaiah Osbourne.I know, seems odd as Osbourne has never played under Nige
FoxTrott Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 Dunno what he said. The player was Isaiah Osbourne. Isaiah Osborne is ex Wednesday and Middlesbrough like Pearson, they are probably both aware of that?
Ric Flair Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 I know, seems odd as Osbourne has never played under Nige Did Nige ever coach him at England youth level/s? Was he ever on loan at West Brom, Southampton or Hull?
RowlattsFox Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 Was Osborne linked to us a few years ago? Or was that before Pearson? Maybe more than just a link.
Guest Electric Yetis Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 Holloway signed him on loan and he trained with us a couple of times but was recalled before he got to play for us.
VLC86 Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 So why did Pearson talk to him then? Good point, why is he talking to the opposition??? Pearson Out!
Langston Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 I know the former never officially signed but the fact that Isaiah Osbourne and Kelvin Etuhu were Holloway's masterstrokes in our bid to avoid the drop make me wonder why I felt a genuine pang of surprise when we went down.
David Lowe Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 Something has happened to Pearson recently! Even in his interview with Stringer he was completely different - he said he could make comments about the ref as he couldn't send him to the stands because he's already in it. Perhaps it's because matchdays are so easy at the moment - he just strolls up to his seat, watches us thrash teams, has a nice sleep, shares a few anecdotes with Steve Walsh, then comes down at the end and slaps everybody.
Corky Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 It's good that this feature is about, we see a different side to the serious, sometimes dour demeanour Nige has with the media. Clearly good and hands on with the players and they mostly seem to enjoy shaking hands with him after games.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 Pearson is so different in that to the media it is unreal. It's been said many times before but away from the cameras, he can be quite different. Most fans only build up an opinion from hearing his local radio interviews which he's clearly not a great fan of.

Had a good chuckle at this
GingerrrFox Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 It kicked off with the ref in the tunnel at half time that's why they cut straight to the ref calling the teams out to start the 2nd half. Ref was being called all sorts.
Out Foxed Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 let's not forget that nige was the number one prankster at middlesboro

Callabinho Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 Drinkwater looks happy in that tunnel cam don't he Drinky doesn't smile, he just destroys other teams midfield.
Vlad the Fox Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 Assassins don't smile, unless they are killing you.
