No, a pronoun functions by itself.

'That is yours'. 'Yours' referring to something either previously mentioned or easily determined through context, and the possessive pronoun.

'That's my football'. 'My' doesn't stand by itself, it's a determiner (in this case a possessive adjective) that modifies the noun.

Shit you're right.

Could you idiots stop drumming on about "ambition". Just because your owners have said they want European football in a couple ofyears, doesn't mean you'll get it especially after last seasons performance.

Please read and re-read this next sentence over and over so you won't sound stupid everytime you mention it- Leicester city are not the only team in the league with ambition !!

Eh, that we finished on 41 points after spending half a season not getting any results says that given a consistent season we'll be there or there abouts.

No-ones claimed we're the only team in the league with ambition, but between us and Villa, we are. Villa are showing a criminal lack of ambition selling the spine of their team and signing shite. They're quite clearly happy with 17th, we're not.

Also, calling us idiots as a stoke fan  lol - Glass, Stones, In, Houses, Throw, Don't. Put them into a sentence.

Or hypothetically Have you heard of Claudio Ranieri ?? of course didn't he get sacked by Greece in his last job for loosing at home to the faroe islands

Did he only get the job after touting his own services??

"Of course, one of the most famous managers in Europe."

So desirable he had to tout his own services

Ranieri has been quoted as saying that, having been sacked by Greece, he would welcome a phone call from City if they want to chat about the vacant post in Leicester.

Before this revelation, Ranieri was 40-1 for the post.

Because he wanted to come back to the premiership? And lets be clear, bookies knew **** all for the entirety of that.

You're spinning it to make it look like Sherwood is better (and you have my sympathies, lead poisioning is a real bummer), but we could easily turn it round and say he had to say he was interested because the club didn't think he'd stoop to us. After all, he's a champions league manager for most of his jobs in the last decade.

As reported on the media earlier. Once a deal is agreed, would be unusual for someone to come in late. It's not like selling a house. There has to be trust between parties.

really can't understand what the hell is going on if we really are making bids too late. might all be rubbish but respectable agencies are reporting that we tried to scupper the Chester and veretout deals by coming in with late bids. If so, who the hell do we think we are? It's not a game of poker. assuming that both these players sign for our rivals tomorrow, i am now extremely concerned about our transfer policy. There isn't an endless supply of suitable players and these two would be excellent in areas where we are short. If we identify a player, why aren't we negotiating in an orderly fashion to recruit him. We were reported to be in for veretout early on and then it went quiet. Suddenly villa have agreed a deal. if that's the case, then either the player doesn't want to come here (in which case why bid again late on) or we are just terrible at putting a deal together.

I fear that those charged with recruiting aren't up to it.

It doesn't actually quote anything to back up that it's Villa, just a quote from the club president saying that he'll join a "big English club".

Been out and came back to this not quite sure what is cracking off. Apparently this fella is joining Villa Because they are a bigger club and they got to last seasons cup final and have Tim Bellend as manager. Thought they had an owner who wants out and just about stayed up last season and as for the FA cup final they are taking the p1ss, they didn't get beat they got hammered, Arsenal could have scored 7 or 8, must be one of the most pathetic efforts in a cup final in living memory and as for the were bigger look what we have achieved over the last xxx years by that argument Liverpool and Spurs are bigger than Man City.

At least Villa have their captain chap who turned down Man City to stay with them

kind of replicating last seasons successful recruitment policy, where we bid for players to give other targets the hurry up. Tbh a bit of a fiasco. EC not signing until end of window, fortunately for us we had a reasonable start. Lets hope this start is a decent one. We cant afford to be dropping points due to lack of quality in mf. Its interesting Robinson basically got the sack for notgetting them over the line for one reason or another. I wonder who maybe to blame now if we dont hit our targets
