Gray - considering future

Recommended Posts

I take it that Everton have slowed their interest in him.

Going to Bournemouth, for his own development, would be risky.

It does appear they'll be struggling down there during the course of the season, and that could damage whatever career ambitions he has.

So, staying put, in a progressive but stable club, would be obviously best at the moment.

But it's up to him to analyse his own performances and actually work on improving them, than what seems to be the case now - moaning in not starting much, but keeps making the same mistakes (this can also apply to Musa, as well).

i like a few others dont rate gray he appears to be a brat, does not look to bring others into the game, yet refuses to really go at the gaps or take the fullbacks on. think we can find better.

Well, how much are both players worth? Surely Gray is worth more than Townsend. He has a higher ceiling although there are severe doubts as to whether he'll actually hit it. Townsend is a little more refined than Gray but the age difference would swing the value back in Gray's favour you'd think. Not in a million years should we be adding money to Gray for Townsend. Would rather keep Gray in a straight up swap offer.

Anyone at the club that suggests that should be sacked on the spot

This will hopefully be the end of Rudkin and his incompetent pillocks.  Vichai and Top - if true please swing the axe.

For somebody who is very talented it's strange he has never had a real run in the side, maybe it's the defensive side of his game the management don't like.

In that case it could be a good move all round but not for a swap plus 10 million though.

This would be awful for us. Letting go a prospect who has talent for a 27 year old who will be gone in two years after his agent will want to command a large fee. You only need to look at his past few deals to see this. Bad move and hope we hang on to Gray

Was chatting to a Spurs and Liverpool fan who both watched the United game and were shocked at how selfish he was. I know it was one game but neither wanted to sign him based on this and only did before because of the hype that surrounds him. He is a prospect but nowhere near as good as he thinks he is.

Tottenham move to land in-demand Demarai Gray with Leicester winger desperate for regular action

Manchester-United-v-Leicester-City-Premi

Tottenham have jumped to the front of the queue in the race for Demarai Gray.

England Under-21 starlet Gray wants Leicester to play him or sell him. Bournemouth have offered nearly £30million for the attacking ace.

But Mirror Sport understands Spurs are now trying to sign Gray as well and are understood to have tabled a hefty straight cash bid.

Unsettled Gray, 21, hit out this summer after only making nine Premier League starts last term.

The skilful winger is desperate for more game-time after impressing on international duty with England's U21s.

But Gray has still not broken into the Foxes' starting line-up in the Premier League despite fellow winger Riyad Mahrez asking to leave.

Foxes boss Craig Shakespeare has only used Gray off the bench in City's first three League games.

It has left Gray hugely frustrated - especially as despite Leicester rejecting big bids for him he is only on around £25,000-a-week at the King Power, way short of the top earners like Jamie Vardy on £100,000-a-week.

Gray added to his reputation with an impressive performance and goal in last Tuesday's – Carabao Cup win at Championship Sheffield United.
