Looking at the table, Southampton are down if they don't win here, so they'll come all out attack.

Should make for an interesting game, if we are arsed.

I’d go

Kasper

Simpson

Morgan (he can’t surely be as bad again)

Maguire

Chilwell

Albrighton

Ndidi

Silva

Diabate

Mahrez

Vardy

Just now, Raw Dykes said:

We'll be unimaginative and ponderous first half, Soton will score just before half time, we'll come out 2nd half looking decent, but missing a few good chances, subs will be too late on, Vardy will equalise, but that will be it. 1-1

You don't need to watch it now. You'd probably sleep through it, anyway.

I'm literally laughing out loud cos this is 100% happening lol

CHANGES please Puel

Would like to see something like this... (limited by injuries and genuine lack of depth!)

--------------------------Kasper---------------------------

---------------Amartey--Maguire--Dragovic----------

Albrighton---------------------------------------Chilwell

---------------------Silva-----------Ndidi------------------

-----Mahrez----------------------------------Diabate----

---------------------------Vardy----------------------------

I'm hoping with wingbacks, Mahrez can be freed up to support Vardy more in attack.

....Drop Mahrez, switch Diabate to right side and Gray on left. Chilly and Gray link up well and I can not see the point of playing Mahrez for the rest of the season. Play him on the last home game of the season to say goodbye!!!

I don't think it will happen, for the same reason I think Wes and Simpson will start on Thursday, even though they really shouldn't!

I know Kasper is a great shot stopper and has had some amazing performances for us over the seasons, but I do think he makes our life so much harder by not being able to come out and claim crosses like a number of other top keepers can and do. His kicking is also pretty awful.

I'd like us to sign a top replacement for him in the summer, someone who can genuinely be considered a starter over him, not just cover on the odd (injury) occasion.

....he seems to be carrying a bit more weight this season and I wonder if that is to do with the current set up in respect of the rumour in the lack of  training.

I suspect Kaspers' reluctance is due to the zonal defence that Puel has instigated and to come flying out for crosses would impact on agreed areas. As to his distribution in respect of kicking from hand, this has somewhat gone to pot but originally he was freakish in his ability to pick out a man 60-70 yards out on the touchline. This ability seems to have deserted him but he still tries like a golfer with his trusty wood, (he used to hit the green but now he continually goes out of bounds).

Kasper needs to reset for next season, the defence is a lot more comfortable with a pass back to Kasper as opposed to the other keepers who seem unsure and requires the ball played back in a different way in order for them to be  efficient.

Come next season, a slimmed down Kasper would indicate to me that he is back on track.

This will our biggest win of the season, Southampton are down, Vardy hat trick but Morgan & Simpson will still play crap.....

It'll be the same laborious bollox. Puel will chop and change personnel once we're chasing the game, as per usual and it'll all be a bit flat and ultimately underwhelming. Team is rudderless right now.

i have been quite negative just lately but i have a good feeling about this one.

3 - 1 to us 0 - 1 at half time and we start playing at 76 minutes and bag 3 goals Vardy 2 Mahrez with a slick finish on the 93rd minute.

More confident with Wilf back partnering Silva.

Saints need to win this so I suppose it depends on how bothered our lot are.

P.S Drop Mahrez he's already on the plane ... even if he is not sure on where it is going to !!

This will be a tough watch I fear, not a lot to play for, for us. Thursday night lowest crowd and quietist of the season.

if we don’t win there will be a loud chorus of boos for sure, if the owners are watching could be the beginning of the end for Puel.

I was Europe or Bust but I'm all about next year now. Find out who wants to stay and who wants to go. Start who wants to stay and bench who wants to go.

and well if we lose to Southampton here, we prove yet again why we didn't deserve the Europa League.

It's been way too long since we all walked out of the King Power smiling.

I'm not bothered right now about experimenting and planning for next season.

I just want to see us win at home and feel the stadium rocking again.

For the fans, and the atmosphere surrounding the club, I consider this to be something close to a pivotal moment. Show out and we'll have a nice run-in IMO - fail to show up and this will be a very long and laborious end to the season.
