I'm going to continue to post this.

Why the **** are we not looking to play 3 at the back? It suits our entire side.

Defence

Soyuncu - Fast defender with a reputation for making mistakes. Would have the ability to play on the right of a back 3 with less fear of being caught out.

Evans/Morgan - Slowing but physically impressive defenders that can lead a defence.

Maguire - We all know how good he was for England in a back 3.

Wing Backs

Ricardo - Can't defend but looks genuinely good on the front foot. Playing in a back 5 allows him to play to his strengths.

Chilwell - His best asset is his motor. Having him play up and down the left would be an absolute joy. Perfect for him.

Midfielders

Ndidi - One of the best ball winners in the league. Let him mop up in midfield all day.

Mendy/Silva - Less defensive responsibilities. Give them a chance to get on the ball and play.

Attackers

Maddison - Playing in the hole is his forte. He looks a million dollars and we need to play to his strengths and keep him there.

Iheanacho/Gray/Okazaki - All three are decent PL strikers that can chip in with assists and goals.

Vardy - Has looked so isolated for about  8 months now. Please play him with a striker partner.

Schmeichel

Soyuncu Evans Maguire

Ricardo Ndidi Mendy Chilwell

Maddison

Vardy Iheanacho

Think there were concerns about the fitness of Evans and giving a debut to Soyuncu at Bournemouth but with Morgan suspended. Maybe an option to play 2 behind Vardy both with free reign to switch sides but showed we can create just need to be more solid at the back

First two things - we we're all over the place at the back, mainly stemming from Ricardo being out of position and exposing Wes for pace against Wilson, Fraser and King; completely tore us to shreds with Fraser's two goals. The problem has to be addressed, we either go back to putting Ricardo back on the wing with Amartey back into start RB or we drop Wes for Evans or Soyuncu. Second thing was the attack, we looked decent going forward in the first half and created chances but heavy touches and snatching at it cost us, you've gotta put the ball in the net otherwise there's no point, Ghezzal & Gray particularly incredibly wasteful.

Not to detract from our performance at all but the ref was ridiculous. Neither of Wes's cards were merited, if the first is for accumulation it's still harsh but the second yellow is never ever a card; and although Wes has been exposed for pace today, captaining us to a drubbing and coming out looking a fool he didn't deserve a red and he doesn't deserve the abuse he was getting on here in the immediate aftermath - he doesn't pick the team, he just does what he's told and has done us proud season after season. Ricardo couldn't really do much with the handball, was neither intent or realisation, not quick thinking from Ric but incredibly harsh. Pawson's rules for this match played into B'mouths hands perfectly too, they're an equally crafty and sly team, they know exactly how to rough players up quietly and exactly when to back into a challenge and drop to the floor, Pawson bought most of their sells and gave a yellow out to Maguire for nought 10minutes in. It's part of what Bournemouth do and credit to them, they took their chances and played very well, they have good players all over the pitch with a decent manager who's got them playing his drilled and organised style of play perfectly.

Its all about the reaction to this result. We came out second half looking more focused and determined not to give the Ref another chance to get what he seemed to want - any attitude. First sign of any aggression was penalised harshly and that was Wes done. We took Ghezzal & Gray off and looked alot better, Bournemouth went defencive against 10 men at home. Enormous coming fixtures for Puel; I hope we make it.

That back 4 must never start again unless injuries and suspension take hold.

If we stay 4 at the back Soyuncu has to play for his pace, but at the risk of sounding like a broken record, our players really would suit a 3 at the back system. Covers us more defensively and gets all of our biggest goal threats on the pitch together.

As well as the back 4, thought Gray and Ndidi were poor. Ndidi is starting to concern me a bit with his lack of form. If he isn't breaking up play or disrupting their build up he is not really of any use given his mediocrity in possession.

Maddison our best player by some distance.

But he's primarily there to do precisely that - break up the opposition's play and quickly hand over the ball.

Problem is that you still need another CM in front of Ndidi (or Mendy, who seems to be playing an identical role), and thus the issue is not one of form, but formation.

We were out-thought and out-played by Bournemouth. Tactically we were naive.

With both centrebacks completely struggling and on yellow cards, it’s laughable that Puel didn’t change things at half time given we were 3-nil down. No plan B again.

Though we did win the second half, albeit not by enough.

Credit where it is due. The Cherries are a decent side.

Also, Albrighton is one of our most consistent performers, why is he always the one dropped?

This is one of the biggest myths going.

Albrighton has plenty of very poor games. That he has a reputation as a 100% effort player masks that.

That said, he has a case to start over Gray and/or Ghezzal next week.

I think my response on the Radio following the full time whistle was somewhat measured in comparison to what I really wanted to say.

Palace was bad enough, but this is (at least) the second shower we've played away from home, in less than 6 months.

Have we improved in the 40 odd games since he was appointed? That's what must be asked by the board.

EDIT: His post match interview again is the same crap again. "Good balance" No Claude - it wasn't, we lost!!

I just think that we were out thought today and didn't have a chance. Our tactics were wrong, Bournemouth did their homework and we were easily nullified.

We weren't easily nullified as we had more chances than them. But I agree they did their homework and exposed the lack of pace at the centre of our defence.

Let’s be honest. Bournemouth are going to win fuch all this year. This was a test for us - we failed it utterly. Top half could be a stretch. We’ve got the players no doubt, but have they got the motivation and inspiration they need.

Puel seems as as inspiring as skin on a rice pudding.

Poor result, but...

- We started well, fast out of the blocks as we’ve been wanting and on top for the first 15.

- We conceded three breakaway goals and a penalty. Bournemouth wouldn’t score four again if they played that game another twenty times.

- Maddison superb throughout.

- We ended the game well, scored two, won the second half.

- Maguire dodged a red and can’t be so bad next game.

- Morgan got a red and can’t be so bad next game. Chance for Evans or Soyuncu to stake a claim.

- Did we really think we’d win at Bournemouth??!

Now clearly we conceded four against a mid-table/top half rival and looked oddly out of sorts, but we are a young team nd we are going to get the odd result like this. Three or four more games like this before Christmas and I’d be worried, but personally I don’t see a need for wholesale change. We gave Man U and Liverpool a run and won our other two games before this, so it’s no crisis.

Puel played a way too aggressive side today. Ricardo is not ready to be a fullback in this league. He’s a good wingback though. Harry looked a step off the pace after two international games. Morgan is just not going to work out this season. Get Soyuncu in the team and play Armartey at right back. Away from home leave out Grey and Ghezzal, start Albrighton and we will be more compact and will be OK. Maddison is going to have to be our creative threat along with Ricardo down the right. We have the players, it’s just Puel needs to understand that we are not able to play as wide open away from home as we were today.

Was lucky to not concede another penalty

plus king could’ve squared to Fraser for a hatrick

surely saying Bournemouth wouldn’t score 4 again shows how bad we were
