Everton Home Pre Match 06/10

If you're over the age of 40 you probably remember when Everton were not only a big club but actually played like one. Today, we're in the same bracket thanks to our recent success.

We haven't had a draw yet and I think this could be our first one. 1-1.

Yes there are pages of posts making that claim

Then a significant number of people have collectively lost their shit frankly.

This ones a major yardstick of how far we’ve come. Everton will be a tough test.

My thoughts too

Hoping for a win obviously but think this could be our first draw of the league season

It should be a good game because they'll play good attacking football. Not sure which way it'll go tbh but I think we've got the ability to beat them.

Fulham had plenty of chances yesterday despite losing 3-0, could be carnage.

Same team (but maybe Evans for Morgan). Let's get in a rhythm.

Amartey Mor/Evans Maguire Chilwell

                  Mendy Ndidi

   Richardo Iheanacho Maddison

                     Vardy

Turning into

Amartey Mor/Evans Maguire Ndidi

                    Mendy

   Richardo Maddison Chilwell

             Vardy  Iheanacho

when we move forwards.

Mendy seems to be decent at getting back too.  Just before Newcastle's attempted chip, Amartey was around the half way line and passed to Maddison and then Maddison got disposed. If you look, by they got the ball, Mendy had got back to make a back four.

Unlike our last two outings we are not playing a team of blind players.

Expect morgan and amartay to be done up like kippers in a back to earth bump.

Edited because I wrote something worse than 'ferchrissakes do one'

Unlike Udders and Newarsehole, we will be up against forwards with pace. Will be interesting to see how Puel reacts to thiis with the CB selection.  Hoping for another 3 points but could be another Bournemouth circus with us exposed on the counter attack.

It seems we need additional cover in the left side for counter Walcott. Maybe time for albrighton to start, so ghezzal to fill the other wings while nacho as impact sub.

Round pegs thrown around the pitch into some any shaped holes to ensure we get all our favourites on there and we’ll be fine I’m sure.

could see Albrighton coming in for maybe Nacho, just to add a bit more in tracking the pace of Evertons wingers etc given they are pacey,

would like to see us start the same team as the newcastle game though tbh, but in all honesty, I think there couple be a change or 2, since Puel seems to change the team on the opposition and such

if we beat these, we'll come in the top 8 which I think is very respectable.

if you look at the table, you will see, we are already in the top 8

Hope that, this time, Morgan doesn't play against their offensive pace.

Will be an interesting battle between Maguire v Ashley Williams (who has appeared to be a liability at times) and Michael Keane during corners etc.
