Rest in paradise. You were a legend, a leader, a passionate and genuine man. Words can't describe the impact you made on my life without even meeting you. You will be remembered as a legend, you will remain in our hearts and we will continue on doing good in your name as a club and as a society. Thank you. ♥️

I’m not very good with words but thank you for everything Vichai, from saving the club, putting us in the right direction, letting us dream, for all the free beers and treats and of course the Premier League and travelling to Europe.

Besides from all that, what a throughly nice man.

RIP Vichai.

This feels like a Princess Diana moment. A tragic crash on a Saturday night, waking up with that empty feeling on a bright sunday morning. The flowers, the tears. Like Diana he was'nt a friend or relative but he was a man of the people, a man of wealth but also compassion, drive but also kindness.

Your'e constantly admiring that person and when they suddenly pass you realise the impact they have had on your life.

Seeing other clubs' tributes in full has really hit me hard. Not just tweets either, official stories on their websites which shows the impact Vichai's death had. He wasn't just a chairman of our football club, he became a gentleman of the game.

Everton:

Evertonians are united today with the entire football family in directing our thoughts and prayers to the loved ones of Leicester City chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and those who also passed away last night in the tragic accident at the King Power Stadium.

Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha will forever be remembered for the fairytale that was Leicester’s Premier League title triumph in 2015-16.

As Evertonians, we witnessed first-hand the joy of a club on their day of celebration. Today we stand with them again to mourn this devastating loss of life.

Everton Majority Shareholder Farhad Moshiri said: “We extend our thoughts and prayers to everyone associated with Leicester City and, of course, to those closest to Vichai, as well as to the families of those who also passed away. It is a tragedy, a deep loss that will be felt by so many and we are with you in this terrible moment.”

Everton Chairman Bill Kenwright said: “The overwhelming sadness we feel today is deepened by the fact that Vichai was such a warm and generous personality. His pride in Leicester City’s great achievements was matched by his humility. Our hearts go out to his family and loved ones as well as to the family and loved ones of those others who passed away
.”

Liverpool

Liverpool Football Club owners John W Henry, Tom Werner and Mike Gordon have issued a statement following the tragic incident that occurred at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium on Saturday evening.

“It is with great sadness that we today offer our heartfelt sympathies to Leicester City after confirmation their owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha has tragically passed away.

“Our thoughts and condolences are extended to the families and loved ones of all those lost in this dreadful accident.

“The admiration we have for Vichai, his family and colleagues is as high as you can imagine, both professionally and personally.

“He was the ultimate custodian for the club he bought and then gracefully served. The Premier League title win, one of world football’s all-time great stories, is of course the standout achievement. But beyond that, he led his club in a manner which all of us in this privileged position aspire to. Success on the pitch, allied with outstanding governance off it.

“Vichai is a great loss not just to his club but to the Premier League and English football as a whole.

“The thoughts of everyone connected with Liverpool Football Club are with our friends in Leicester and Thailand.”

Chelsea

Everybody at Chelsea Football Club is deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the death of five people at Leicester City’s King Power stadium on Saturday evening, including the club’s chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

Also on board were Nursara Suknamai, Kaveporn Punpare, pilot Eric Swaffer and Izabela Roza Lechowicz.

Khun Vichai was a passionate owner and supporter of Leicester, overseeing their incredible, unforgettable 2015/16 Premier League success with N’Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater both a part of that team managed by Claudio Ranieri. He was a regular attendee of matches and a popular figure with fans and colleagues alike.

Our thoughts at this sad time are with the family and friends of all those who lost their lives, as well as the players, staff and supporters at Leicester City

"Every great dream begins with a dreamer..."

Your owner had that dream and was the right man, in every sense of the word, at the right club, to make that ultimate dream come true. You loved him and he loved you and your city: the perfect ingredients to make dreams come true.

The football world mourns with you now we all know the devastating truth.

Love and hugs from Norwich fans everywhere. X

I've hardly slept since receiving the email from the club confirming the news we all knew was coming. Still struggling to comprehend what has happened and I can't help but think of the fear and suffering those on board endured in those few seconds.

RIP Vichai and the 4 other people who perished in this horrific accident.
