limeydale Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 There were some great moments of play enough to see what Rogers wants. If they can get their system worked out the rest of the season, next year will be very entertaining.
jayfox26 Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 good first half and good last 15 of the 2nd half. Good result but Fulham are dreadful. 3 points is 3 points though and it looked under threat after they equalised. Played some lovely football 1st half and it would have been another footballing travesty (see the spurs game) had we not won that!
otistoasty Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 I can't believe how fast vardy still is at 32. Built like a whippet

Exactly this, we pressed a little higher got Ndidi playing as a ball winner in the opposition half allowing us to force and capitalise on opposition errors which is where Vardy excels quick ball before the defence is set.
The Guvnor Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 Played really good possesion football in the first half and should have put the game to bed. Lost our way for 25 mins in the second half and made it easy for Fulham. We have some real talent in our side, really hoping Brendan can make them tick.
lgfualol Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 Vardy was like a new player, unreal efforts sprinting even in the last minutes. Good game but we really need to stop conceding such soft goals.
Vacamion Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 If Puel had been in charge of a dominant first half and a soft concession, followed by a relegation fodder team beginning to dominate and pass it around, while their fans sang Ole, and then Puel brought on Ghezzal and Okazaki, this website would have melted.
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 I noticed Maddison getting all sorts of pelters by our ‘faithful’ this afternoon Ridiculous
MC Prussian Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 So happy we won that. There was a spell in the second half where I thought "Darn, Fulham are close". We were too pedestrian at times, and could've been found out big time. Glad we turned it around following that disappointing start after the break. Clinical. Vardy, Barnes, Maddison, Tielemans standout players for me today. The rest needs to pick it up a little bit still. But this looks promising. Hopefully, this game and result will have suffocated what we had left in terms of motivational issues, bad luck, bad vibes within the team and the overall hesitation on the pitch. Still not a fan of a system with one sole striker up front. It worked against Fulham, but won't work against the better teams in this league.
UPinCarolina Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 Subs made a huge difference. Looked toothless after an aggressive start aided by a ponderous and shaky Fulham. Okazaki and Mendy provided late energy and industry and Ghezzal was more effective than Gray.
Keiriel Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 Aside from Maguire and Chilwell, the team looked great, minus the 20-minute spotty patch in the second half. Also, Ghezzal, Mendy, and Okazaki all looked good when they came on.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 Great game! Playing to our strengths again (which is vardy as our focal point). Our build up play is better too, we played some proper sexy football today. Gonna watch MOTD with a beer and a smile tonight.

Grebfromgrebland Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 Vardy is always good at the start of a new managerial reign

Fair point - but if we had won 3-1 then it would have sorted itself out .........

Get off his back you mugs

We're back in the top ten again.
