If the Arsenal board have any sense they will go Pochettino. In due time he will rebuild the club, clear the deadwood and useless players and get them challenging for titles again.

Arsenal are money minded, someone who’s available is goona appeal more than the pay off for someone like our BR.  Porch is a great option if they can get him, but manure might press the eject button now too!

Yes I thought this might happen. Yes he was expensive. But they could do with a good number of new players. Rather thinking that one big money signing will solve their problems.

Pepe is on an instalment basis. About £14 million a year for the next 4 or 5 years I believe.

What’s he ever done Jeff? He beat the Punic wars from Armenia or somethink in the UEFA cup. That’s not even in Europe is it? This is Arsenal we’re talking about, a club that’s used to winning stuff. Nuno, he’s the hoover from the teletubbies, I could manage at Wolves where there’s no expectation, there’s no money to spend and they’re playing in front of 24,000 every week. It’s different at Arsenal, you’ve got 70,000 fans making an atmosphere there demanding that the club is one of the best in the world

Actually, there’s no way Paul Merson has ever heard of the Punic wars

I think getting Pochettino would be a bigger statement than getting Rodgers on the face of it, whether or not it means he'd do a better job I don't know.

Being out of work, he'd be cheaper too. Poch seems such an obvious fit that it's clear it won't happen.

But wouldn't the months and months of comedy be worth it, given the Spurs - Arsenal fans affection for one another ?

Deluded if they think they can get that quality of manager. They can’t even get Brendan Rodgers..

Charlie Nicholas is to Arsenal what Carra is to Liverpool or Chris Sutton is to Celtic. He's ludicrously biased and arrogant.

Ignore it. Rodgers isn't going anywhere.

Part of spurs settlement with Poch may have included a clause that he forfeit some of his severance payment if he takes another job in the prem within a certain timescale (eg this season)Not sure if this sort of deal goes on but wouldn't surprise me.

By all accounts Ljungberg is been doing a great job with the youngsters so maybe they think he can step up. Would actually like to see him make a success of it.

This could be the first salvo in a quick fire round of sackings, with clubs looking to get any changes done in time for the transfer window. Fully expect to see Silva and pelligrini gone by the end of the weekend if they don't get a result.  All aboard fro the magic roundabout

It is only natural that Rodgers is being touted for every job going at present, but as he recently said, he is enjoying life in Leicestershire and the "project" at the foxes. This idea that he is fickle does not actually bear scrutiny when you consider how long he was at Liverpool (it was them that sacked him, he did not leave) and whilst he upped sticks from Celtic to come here, it was a now or never oppourtunity and he had gone as far as he could with them. Does anyone really think that he would have left Celtic when he did, for a short term gig.

Liverpool have unveiled their latest plans for expanding Anfield. Looks pretty decent to be fair!

The current proposals would see the capacity of the Anfield Road Stand increase by around 7,000 seats, the majority of which will be general admission, with some sports bar/lounge hospitality being offered.

Should the expansion go ahead, it would take the overall stadium capacity at Anfield to over 61,000.

The first-stage public consultation on the proposed Anfield Road Stand expansion is inviting feedback until midnight on Friday December 13. A second stage of public consultation will follow in early 2020 when the detailed plans will be available.
