As well as everything else that’s already been said every time there’s a close call with offside I’ve just come to expect him to be keeping the opposition onside, he’s always the one I’m convinced.

Think he should have a stronger mentality.

Be more aggressive, in terms of focusing on his individual performances and striving to want to do better.

Talented footballer with no brain. Constantly over commits himself leaving us exposed. Honestly have no idea what he was thinking for that Spurs first goal last night. During early years coaching you're told to show the man out wide in-order to narrow the angle. Kane would have had to produce something very special to stick that one away if Cags had prevented him coming inside. Game after game he just flies into tackles with complete disregard for what's going off around him. I don't know if it's a temperament issue or sheer lack of discipline but he's an absolute liability.

In his defence Brendan needs to shoulder some of responsibility too. These errors should are very easy to correct with the right coaching yet he hasn't made any progress in the last 12/18 months.

Crap this season! If he wants to go that’s fine with me, no way should a guy with his experience play with so much naivety, looks ragged and always last ditch stuff

He's not what you would class as an intelligent footballer that's for sure!

His reading of the game is very poor.

His first season he looked great, better replacement to Maguire. But the last couple of season he just seems to get weaker and poorer. For me time to move on in the summer. If Burnley go down we could look at bringing back Ben Mee. Not going for Cahill in the summer on a free was a big mistake.

If I was Brendan I'd sell him to the highest bidder in the summer. Flog him to Newcastle while they're still spending recklessly.

...does that mean we look to bring g in Botman!!!

No point of loading a player unless you have a replacement in place.

Yea criminal defending allowing Kane to cut inside from that tight angle. He looked like he got himself into a good position then in typical Soyuncu fashion dived in, he did it a couple of other too last night. He’s overly aggressive when trying to win the ball back and puts himself into all sorts of trouble.

Guy needs to learn how to stand players up and contain them.

Very true. He needs to be shown clips of Maldani. One of the greatest defenders but hardly made a tackle or go to ground. Cags has pace and is a unit. He needs to have more confidence and stand his ground instead of constantly diving in.

It’s been clear for everyone to see from day 1 that his mentality is his biggest weakness and he has a few.

That picture of him wanting to kill the Spurs lad about 1 minute before we pressed self destruct says it all. Bournemouth away, Spurs at home… I’d be happy if he never put on a Leicester shirt again if I’m honest.

...I  was saying just the same thing to myself until I  read the final paragraph!!!

Rodgers has given young players the opportunity to come through and he prides himself on being a coach, but you wonder if the players coming through his tenure would have developed without any input due to him.

There seems to be too many obvious problems with players shortfall which should be addressed but they carry the same problems game after game.

In respect of Soyuncu, he should be taking responsibility for his own development and the inconsistency in partnerships has not helped.

...he does struggle to engage attackers, he is wary of committing himself and would rather be winning the ball by anticipation coming from behind!!!

That is a deficiency in his play he needs to address, he cannot expect to have the perfect situation for himself throughout a game, if the club's existing coaches can not help him overcome this, then he needs to look outside the club in order to develop.

Wow, a lot of hate.  Cags always needs a few games to get himself fully back on point.  He's been thrown into a back 5 straight from injury with a winger, a 20 year old, a bit-part midfielder and the woeful Vestergaard.  Yet another new defensive combo.  Like all of our defenders he's lacking a bit of confidence and he's not having the best of seasons (multiple injury interruptions), but people suggesting he's not trying or not up to the job is ridiculous.  He needs to step up with his leadership and command the defence more, but there's still a player in there.  Until we get a settled defence none of them will perform to the level needed for a Premier League side.  Except Vestergaard, he'd still be shite if he was partnering Maldini and Booby Moore...

...Soyuncu has always been poor in a three, we know that, obviously  Rodgers is not convinced that this is true!!!

Would have been interesting with a back four and another player in midfield, shutting Kane down was the essential part to getting control of the game.

Needs taking out.

Play a kid there or Hamza. His only ability is to pass to LB or flop under pressure

He’s utter dog shite. I’d rather see one of the kids (not like that, I don’t want to end up on a register)
