This guy is just something else at the moment. I can remember some saying he wasn't good enough for us or the PL last season, which was harsh to say the least. But to be honest, I don't think many will have thought he could be this good and there's more to come. Top player

Walker, trippier, Justin, TAA, Lamptey, AWB are all better than James. How he has got capped shows outstanding incompetency by Southgate.

For me it's still Tielemans, but there is definitely an argument for JJ.

 

I would say that the improvement in JJ in what is it? 18 months is actually ludicrous. He's gone from league one to prime Riccy P levels in that time. The scary thing thing is you can see how he can improve as well! Should have got on the score sheet tonight with that free header and he knows it!

The work rate of both him and Albrighton is unbelievable. The only player to play every minute in the PL. Just shows how important he has been for us. Outstanding talent and attitude.

Incredible athlete and player, you also get the impression his attitude is spot on and he’s obviously worked exceptionally hard with the coaching staff over the course of the season to improve his game. He’s gone from being a slight concern at the start of the season to one of, if not the most reliable performer in the team at present. Keep it up JJ!

I've just read the thread - he did. Read it back, many on here saying how good he was and how we needed to get him into the team. Others saying he wasn't Ricardo and basically criticising him for not being him. And it's great as you're all now identifying yourself by reacting to my post. 🤣
