adam Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 That's a shocker. Game chucked before we start. Why do we need all these changes? That gap to 4th can soon disappear.
TheSomersetFox Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 If Brendan believes it's the best thing for the squad I'm fully behind him. Not holding out much hope for a result mind
Paninistickers Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 I like it. Except for Perez and Iheanacho. Ediyed to add I recall Pearson doing this a few years ago away at Palace and we shithoused a win

BR has said for weeks this is what he would do for this fixture. yeah i thought i was going mad in the pre match thread cos i was sure i'd read at the start of the month that he already planned to drop vardy amongst others. still funny though. mendy and hamza as a midfield two. hold me.

Suzie the Fox Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 The only plus is i have a ton of booze to drink before Dry January, so starting NOW!
PaddyS Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Slightly concerned by Justin in defence behind that midfield. I actually thought he looked a bit dodge when he came on in other games so I hope this isn't too much for him today.
ARM1968 Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Right, well, er, either Brendan has lost the plot in a huge way or else, well, or else .............. I’m not sure. That team will likely be dismantled by an out of sorts, free falling West Ham. Cannot see anything but a defeat with this lineup. Pretty shocking to be honest and makes zero sense. If you knew you were going to do this then surely send em out against Liverpool, who we’d never catch anyway, and send the first 11 out against Weshstam. Utterly bizarre.
Corky Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 The midfield is the biggest concern. I think the defence could be alright, the attack is capable if they knit together but that midfield has barely played in two months, I'm really surprised all three from Thursday have been dropped. He's taking a risk with this game but it also piles the pressure on for Wednesday.
HighPeakFox Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 I'm more surprised by the level of ignorance being shown on here as to the whys and wherefores. Actually, no I'm not.
Swarles Barkley Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Dont know why the players needed resting. Hardly fvcking tried against Liverpool
Farrington fox Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Christ I didn’t see that many changes coming. Be lucky to get anything. Given this game is more winnable than Newcastle. I’m surprised at this lineup.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Stuck 20 quid on west ham let's hope I'm potless tonight
nnfox Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Something fishy going on here. 9 changes by us, 7 by West Ham. That is not normal.
when_you're_smiling Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Weirdly takes some of the pressure off today’s game.....but ramps up the pressure massively to get three points at St James’s. What odds sneaking a win today and losing at full strength on NY day?

The Quick Brown Fox Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Shocked by that team. On the other hand this could be the game that lets the rest of the league (and us) know that we do have decent squad depth. Also a kick up the arse of the regulars to ensure they don't think they are guaranteed to be starting even if playing poorly.
steveherbe Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Simply, WTF is that? Obviously BR thinks we are safe and is building for next season
Dahnsouff Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Guess this was always the plan,I am fine with that. Any hindsight shoulda/woulda/coulda’s played this side in the last 2 games can just bugger off.
49er Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 At least when we are struggling to score, with half a minute left, we can push Morgan up front
