Villa at Home (Carabao Cup) - Match Thread

Recommended Posts

What a disappointment Tielemans has been since we bought him. Musa did more for us. Fuchs is not good enough either.

Get Hamza on for Youri

We're outplaying them but we need to beat them by 2 or 3 here.

Still think we'll win

Jesus, some of the reaction in here.

We're not exactly Man United last night.

We still have every chance.

:scarf:

United were playing Man City. We're playing against the 2nd worst team in the leagues reserves! Its not great!

Seems to be an aura of arrogance about the team of late, and no real urgency. This seriously needs to be kicked into touch.

Not quite sure what's going on with Youri Tielemans just lately. Looking a mere shadow of last year's from during his loan spell. Needs taking off to be honest.

The real frustration is we pretty much all know Villa are under strength and if we actually play tonight, we win

This would be such a big blow if we don’t make a Wembley final because we’ve lost over two legs to Aston fookin Villa

Cmon boys, stop bottling it ffs

Too much over reaction in here, plenty of time to tweak the formation and get back into the game

Yep we are only a quarter of the way through, obviously being 1 down isn’t ideal, but we are capable of scoring several against this side over the two legs

His overrated what?

It’s been a flaw in his game for a long time.

Distribution is hit and miss too

for every great pass there will be about 10 miss placed and 5 real clangers that put the team under pressure.

he isn’t a elite level gk,

We have been allright. Its just Villa's smash and grab tactics are working really well so far. Chris Kavanagh is still amazingly annoying and inconsistent. Tielemans passing is a nightmare at the moment but his movement is still top class. If Vardy had done his usual it would be a different game, but they defend great and have been extremely clinical.

We can do this.
