I'm sure £24.9m is just a bit of spare change for the Sheikh ? It's probably around £300m to £400m in money from European football even more with commercial loses. Absolutly fantastic news
murphy Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 Good news for us but can't help wishing that this had been announced tomorrow. Will give Wolves a bigger boost than us if 5th gets a CL spot.
Bourbon Fox Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 Man City - we're going to buy success Also Man City - oops too much

So Sarries and Man City found cheating, serves them right. Absolutely right.Thats all it comes down to,pure arrogance. How they thought they’d get away with it is beyond me.They definitely deserve everything they get.Their fans will be gutted and fuming. But personally,I couldn’t give a toss!
sdb Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 Just dont have faith in the sport currently that it'll stick. Shame as its sending an important message to all.
StriderHiryu Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 I reckon on appeal it will get reduced to one season. But even then, that would be very good. They brought their way to the title and whilst they are a fabulous team, it's shit for football that success can be brought that way. Today's verdict was a small victory for football.

They're fiercely defensive of their behaviour and may well manage to get it lowered or dropped altogether. I hope it sticks though as that's a very important ban. One year they could just about cope with but with 2, they'll have plenty of players now wanting out and prospective players not wanting to join - which should protect our interests to an extent. That's also £100m+ in revenue that they'll be short of, let alone the effect of losing Pep. ****ing brilliant news. They’ve immediately stated their intentions to appeal. i can’t see it getting quashed altogether, that’s a massive punishment to reduce to nothing. Might get it halved to one.
oxtonfox Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 Anyway back to the game - I fancy us tonight and if you've seen my previous pre-match predictions that's not normal. Off to put my City shirt on. C'mon you blues or pinks
HybridFox Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 I'll believe it when I see it. Let's see how their appeal goes first.
twister Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 I have worked in the courts I will be amazed if this holds without a reduced ban at the least. The inconsistant choices by uefa on a number of things means any lawyer would have a field day with them in court.
Nick Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 If the appeal goes west that’ll be Pep and their pull for players gone...

Shut up. They were getting crowds of 30,000+ when they were in League One. I've no great love for the Citizens, but that kind of comment is stupid.
l444ry Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 Surprised it's taken this long for them to get rumbled. Any halfwit knew something stank.
That_Dude Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 Highly doubtful it stays as it is. It will likely get either reduced or turned over.
Ecdysiast Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 Somebody's going to be taken out into the desert and beaten with a plank with nails in it and pissed on...again! Really wouldn't want to work for those guys. No wonder Pep's not that keen

Like we've never been there ourselves. I wonder how those slagging ManC at this would have felt had ManC supporters and others slagged us off when we were in the shit?
TheLittleBigMan Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 This ban is so so important. It matters enormously in the context of "the big six" and the blatant capitalism that has a strangle hold on our game. Fu*king get in!!

KingsX Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 How many years outside the Champs League? And where's that put Leicester in the CL spots?
Ashley Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 Itll go to the Court of arbitration for Sport and get chucked out. You cant make it publicly known what the sanctions are before an investigation has taken place.
