I too have only just seen this

Very sorry to hear about Ken passing. I hope that everyone's kind words here bring some comfort to Ken's family and I think it shows we're not a bad old bunch really!

Hope you enjoyed yesterday Ken wherever you were watching down from.

I have only just found this and am so sorry to hear of it. I liked his poetry and I am proud to say that he thought that my comedic rhymes had some merit.

A very independent man with admirable principles. Rest easy Ken

Had read a couple of old threads, which contained the following members.

Who remembers:

El Empty

Zingari

Rincewind

THEBIGJOHNSTEADER

Buce

Daggers

Moosebreath

Lisa (don't think have personally seen her post at the time she posted anything, but has over 30,000 posts.

There are of course bound (feel free to mention them) to be plenty of others not mentioned above, who were quite regular on here over the past few years.

Hope they are well and some come back again at some point. as some were quite decent users.

Ha. Look at that, Smuts. I didn’t just make the first page, I made the very first post.

Leece is doing fine and well, attending matches and trying to better society. I think Moose got sacked from his job at McDonalds and now sells his mouth to buy crack. Zingari was one of my favourite posters, always a wit. He remains a mystery to me. Or she.

Just saw a Facebook post stating the guy I'm sure was Rincewind had sadly passed away (met him once at the Leicester beer festival and fairly certain it's the same bloke).

RIP.

Awww, bless him. RIP Ken. He was a gentle soul.

I’ll always remember that time he was ill in the Royal, and everybody sent ‘get well soon’ cards with horses on them.

I also got on well with Zingari. He lives or used to live on the Isle of Wight. I was in contact a few times after he stopped posting.

(in all seriousness, I hope he's okay)

Still sitting in the family stand with his head in his hands after Saturday's result.

Reckon MattP is still lurking around for some reason.

Pretty sure he deleted his account after I convinced him to vote Labour.

Seriously though, he was a good poster. Stuck up for himself despite being one of the few non-silent right wingers on the politics thread. Knew his stuff, too.

I think he just found himself getting too wound up by it all.
