Spudulike Posted 13 July 2020 Posted 13 July 2020 Given our aging fan base we might find that we have 60% not able to go or not willing to take the risk. Looks like 12th Sept is the start date. Only 40%?
jonthefox Posted 13 July 2020 Posted 13 July 2020 If there's any risk at all i'm not going. Just isn't worth it. Plus the footballs rubbish.
Swiss_tony Posted 13 July 2020 Posted 13 July 2020 should and will are two different things. no fans should be at games in 2020 unless CV19 is under control. The uk govt is a shambles with it's CV19 policy, so it's easy to argue 'if x is allowed, why not y'. but that doesn't mean it's safe.
Ashley Posted 13 July 2020 Posted 13 July 2020 I'm going yes. Limited capacity though. It'll be around 7/8k The FA are hoping to have Wembley at a capacity of 22k for the September Internationals(I'm not sure if this will be used as a test game or what) - Feel free to believe it, don't believe it. We are already looking at the possibilities of how who can go will be decided, probably be a ballot.

StanSP Posted 13 July 2020 Posted 13 July 2020 I'll be going as well depending on the risk and if it's remotely possible I could go with my brother and dad.
Sir Shep Posted 13 July 2020 Posted 13 July 2020 On the plus side I might be able to sit comfortably without some fat bastard taking up half of my seat.
yorkie1999 Posted 13 July 2020 Posted 13 July 2020 No one under 25, as some pubs are doing because of the irresponsible behaviour, and no one over 65, because of the greater risk to their health. How many’s left?
Chrysalis Posted 13 July 2020 Posted 13 July 2020 Will Leicester be out of lockdown by then? If it isnt, would they open the stadium to fans with the City in lockdown?
Sampson Posted 13 July 2020 Posted 13 July 2020 Hopefully not. We're nowhere near at a low enough risk for this yet. I doubt we'll be able to see football until the 2022-23 season at the earliest.
bovril Posted 13 July 2020 Posted 13 July 2020 I think it's doable. Unfortunately lots of things that are doable seem not to be happening in the UK.
Pliskin Posted 13 July 2020 Posted 13 July 2020 I can’t wait to go and watch us be shit in the flesh!

Mike Oxlong Posted 13 July 2020 Posted 13 July 2020 Tickets are selling like hot cakes for the lap of appreciation after the United game
CosbehFox Posted 13 July 2020 Posted 13 July 2020 Fans will be in before 2020. However it won’t be 100%. It causes it some headaches because they can’t that many fans who go down on their own? Everyone sits with their friends or family for years.

Why should people not be able to enjoy a sports event in the outdoors? Seriously? If you don't want to, doesn't mean no one else can. There are many more dangers of spreading the virus. People protesting, cramming on the beach, going to a pub which is overcrowded. A football match is safer than most of those if people behave. Whether the experience will be worthwhile? Has to be tested out.

My thoughts exactly, indoors the chances of catching it would be far greater then outdoors. I got told I wasn’t allowed to go fishing even though most days I don’t see a soul and where I go is probably a mile from the nearest house.
HybridFox Posted 13 July 2020 Posted 13 July 2020 it's too soon to answer this question with a level head

Far too many factors at play for it not to happen sooner, rightly or wrongly.
iniesta Posted 13 July 2020 Posted 13 July 2020 Recent protests showed no spike, so why would a footie crowd be any different
CosbehFox Posted 14 July 2020 Posted 14 July 2020 Those asking why is football different to the protests. I think it’s the crowding of the concourses and the hygiene of the toilets which is the biggest problem.
