I think its a bit harsh personally. He hasn't been great this season so far but it only takes a couple of decent results to get back in with a shout. I wonder how much say he had with the transfers in the summer. His problem is he looks a bit lost and out of ideas.

Would be interesting to see Frank Lampard get the Celtic job, setting up a Lampard Vs Gerrard for the SPFL title next year.

Why give him the job in the first place if you are going to sack him after this short period of time. Chelsea are just a parody, truly a joke club.

Absolutely agree. He did well last season, and yes, you can argue they’ve had a slow start but you’d think they’d at least give someone of Franks stature another full year?

Southampton not sacking Hassenhutel (pardon the spelling) and Man Utd not sacking Ole has paid dividends for both teams, it goes to show that with time, results can be turned around.

Yeah also they gave him all that money to spend then don’t even give it a season to see how it works out. I get that tactically he has been all over the place recently, but still a lot of clubs get battered and out thought by Rodgers but still go on to improve.

Very glad that this is being sorted quickly and not to have the same rumours flying about. There's some real quality and depth in that Chelsea squad now, and would have been a much more attractive prospect than the Arsenal job.

Similar to Puel with us, get rid of some of the deadwood and make a more youthful team....

Hope he's not wrong here either for the sake of us keeping Brendan.

Also think Tunchel will be a flop there so win win if true.

Chelsea acting like a shambles of a club. Our 2-0 win against them was said it all; one team had a clear identity, team spirit and a club with a clear vision and culture running through all strands of the club. The other... was Chelsea. A quarter of a billion pounds spent during a global crisis and somehow worse than they were in the previous season.

Unfortunately Man United's rise over the past 12 months shows that in football, if you throw enough money at a problem, eventually you fix it. If Tuchel comes in, he could do a good job. For me the issue with Chelsea is the style of football they are trying to play isn't working because Lampard doesn't know how to implement it. IE they press the game like it was a Powerleague match instead of a Premier League game. Coaches like Klopp, Tuchel, Hassenhutl, etc know how to correct that.

Name chasing, Chelsea should have gone for Hassenhutl

Would've taken time to implement his style.  Roman wants quick success rather than building

Does Tuchel get quick results? Not knowing anything about the league except reports and second hand information?
